One day it just happened...
Somethnig terrible came to pass at Yoshi's Island. The world became locked in a picture book! The Super Happy Tree was stolen, and this weakened all the Yoshis. This foul crime could be the misdeed of none other than Baby Bowser.
At a remote edge of the island, six fresh eggs hatched. They seemed to be okay. Said one Baby Yoshi to the Little Yoshi, "Oh my! This is such a big problem for us, so newly hatched. What are we to do? We should all talk about this!"
After much discussion, they hatched a plan. By eating lots of fruit, they would be filled with happiness. With all the Yoshi's happy, certainly the World would return to normal. So off they went, headed for the last page of the picture book, the castle of Baby Bowser. When they got there, they would reclaim the Super Happy Tree!
White Shy Guy
- Yet another invincibility item (Mario games' 3rd) and another heart (Mario's 4th) and none of them have been an invincibility heart. These give more than invincibility though. They make you SUPER YOSHI! You can't be hurt! You have unlimited eggs for a time! Your toungue is ridiculously long! All this, plus a cool remix of that levels music plays! "The best invincibility item yet"
-SMBHQ A perfect 10/10
White Shy Guy
- A shy guy. As an item? Can it be. Yes, it is! 1-ups are obviously a thing of the past in Mario games now. Instead, there are these convuluted things. When you lose a life n Yoshi's Story, you actually have one of your Yoshi's carried off to Bowsers Castle. I guess it's cuter. Anyway, If you find the defecting shy-guy in the level, and finish without dying, you can choose for him to get back one of your Yoshi's. Yay!
Note: Sorry, I don't have these yet. Anyone with the official Nintendo strategy guide who'd like to help, it'd be appreciated.

"The page turned, an the Yoshi's grew happier"
After defeating Baby Bowser, the story ends and the Yoshi's grow happier. The whole storybook unfolds and is read depending on which levels you went through, with exceedingly annoying music in the background (EE-eeeeeehhhhhhh-aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww. Repeat). After the story closes with the word Happy End, the credits roll by.
