Update 3

I’m going to be rating Game Ideas in only one category, the overall category, so I can rate more Game Ideas than I usually can.

All of the following 7 are made by the same author:

Mario Basketball.  It would play similar to NBA Street and NBA Jam.  It would be 2 on 2.  Toad would be a Charles Barkely type character, Luigi a Dominique Wilkins type character because of his insane hops, Bowser would be like Shaq and Wilt, Princess Toadstool like Clyde "The Glide" Drexler and so on.

Meweight Says: “Not a bad idea. I’ll give it a 4.5/10 since there’s not much to the idea.”

Mario Kombat. It would be for the more mature gamers.  Hehehe.  How cool would it be to see King Bowser Koopa bite Princess Toadstool's head off, or to see Mario burn Luigi to a crisp with fireballs, or to see Toad kill Wario with Mushroom Poisoning, or to see Link chop Yoshi's limbs off?!  Plus it would make a fortune.  It would probably break SMB3's record.  Mario has recently come out with games for younger audiences so now it's time for a game for an older audience.

Meweight Says: “Though we all know Nintendo will never make this, that’d be just plain cool. I give it a 4.5/10 since like the idea above, there’s not much to the idea.”

Super Smash Bros:  Nintendo vs Sega.  Wouldn't it be awesome to have Sonic Battle Mario Smash Bros style?  Other possible characters are Pocky and Rocky, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Dr Robotnik, Vectorman, Megaman(I know he's a Capcom character but he's had so many good games on Nintendo systems so he should be included), Wart, and Wario.

Meweight Says: “We all know that’s NOT going to happen. It may be cool, but believe me, you have no idea how many times I’ve heard this idea through this site and off of the site. I give it a 4/10. Please elaborate your ideas.”

A cel-shaded Mario game in 2D for Gamecube.

Meweight Says: “…Too short, and a waste of time. That’s what the GBA is for. I give it a 1/10.”

A remake of the best game ever(SMB3) in 3D for Gamecube.

Meweight Says: “Again, much too short, and they’re already doing that for the GBA, except the 3D part. I give it a 0.5/10.”

Mario/Sonic Adventure.  This game would play like Sonic Adventure 2 for where half of the game you play as Mario and for the other half you play as Sonic.

Meweight Says: “Your ideas are too short. Get it through your head. =P Also, VERY VERY VERY unlikely, and said way too much. I give it a 1/10.”

Megaman Football.  I know they already have Megaman Soccer but a football game would be nice because of all the different robots with different abilities.

Meweight Says: “E-lab-or-ate. A good concept, but nothing to elaborate on. I give it a 1.5/10.”

hi im bananabrains99
i love the site ive been trying to research mario and this site is great

well any ways my game idea is is a game that features many different versions of mario

baby,fireball.spitball.meatal,flying,racoon,invisable,mario kart mario,papermario,cowboy,doctor,ect.

maybe a supuper smash bros type of game or even a gane where you alternate through the many types of marios to complete many tasksthat require powers kind of a tribute to all the faces of mario.

thanks for listening
i know u are bussy but i would like to talk to u an instent mesage so if u could send me your screen name thank you for your time

                                                               signed
                                                   a huge mario fan

Meweight Says: “Not a bad idea. Elaborate on it, and use some spell checking, and this could be a pretty good idea. I’ll give it a 2.5/10.”

Ok heres the scoop.. Bowser has a pet dragon... Mario has to train yoshi how to fight bowser's pet dragon.. the goal is to give yoshi ebough apples and fruit so he will be ready for the match.. you have to bring yoshi through a huge ammount of levels and at the end he fights. If he looses.. the princess will be taken away and luigi looses his power, you win Of course you get the princess back.. sound cool? Hey probably not. It's just an idea? Ok gotta run.  -K.k. Salviano

Meweight Says: “This is a pretty good idea, I’d love a virtual pet-like game where you train a Yoshi, and bring him through levels. Fix up your spelling though. I give it a 4.5/10.”

Ok i have a game idea! But the ennemis is...Mario! What would you think of a game starring Waluigi? In Waluigi's adventures legend of the dark star you w'ont be disapointed! You control waluigi in is adventures, beating the boss like Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Explore the Dark island, climb mountains, beat up some bad guy like the toads , help wario in is mini quest, and...kidnap the princess!!! And of course, Beat up the Dark star! All that in Waluigi's adventures legend of the dark star! On Nintendo gamecube   (i hope!)

Meweight Says: “Heh, not too bad of an idea. You need to fix your spelling and capitalization though. I’ll give it a 5/10.”

the next chapter in the mario serious should combine all nintendo charactors just like super mario 2 on the NES, toad, prices peach, mario luigi, they should all go on an adventure that does not involve bowser or any one of his buddies, and all these charectors should have special moves to help each other, mario could be powerfull, peach should just hover in the skies to reach far places, luigi should jump high, toad could crawl in small places, the game should be just like Mystical Ninja 2 on the N64 2D and with good background graphics and good charector design, and now onto the game story.

the story: should be about helping restore peace on a magical island called Esponia, and rescue the villagers fron an evil man that is trying to take over it, simple as that and simple as other mario games.

Meweight Says: “Pretty good idea. Need to fix up capitalization and spelling though. I’ll give it a 5.5/10.”

Name: Super Mario Mayhem

Platform: Snes (and it's one of the first 3-D games for it, too.

Genre: Puzzle

Story: Bowser has kidnapped Pricness Toadstool! Will Mario be able to

stop him? (Yeah, it's the same story.)

Plot: Mario must battle his way to Bowser's palace by any path he

chooses. But choosing the path is all part of the mayhem, because each

path has all sorts of different puzzles to try and stop him. To gain

access to the next level of play, he must make his way through each of

the puzzles on the current tier. However, Bowser has sabotaged many of

the puzzles on higher tiers to make them much more difficult. Also, the

order Mario completes the puzzles in is important as well. For example,

some puzzles supply energy to power others, so obviously Mario will have

to complete them first.

Any buttons not stated above serve no functionality

Types of puzzles:

Objects: Mirrors.

Contraption: Use seemingly useless parts to accomplish a task.

Objects: A lot of stuff.

Association Maze: Appears only on higher tiers. Each colored space is

surrounded by all other colors. You must move from Start to Finish, but

if you move from a blue square at the start to the bordering Yellow, on

the other two mazes it will also go to the yellow, which might not mean

the same direction.

Objects: Ball(only on first maze, second and third balls move according

to your move)

Master Puzzle: The final puzzle at the end of the game. It is a

combination of all other types of puzzles.

That's about it. Oh, and if you succeed in a puzzle you get to save.

There are three save slots.

Meweight Says: “THANK YOU CURT! I was thinking this batch of ideas would be nothing over a 5.5. It’s not likely that it will be made on the SNES, but it’s still a very good idea. There should be more Puzzle games for Mario. I’m glad you elaborated, and I give it a 7.5/10.”

TOAD'S LAME
ADVENTURE

Created by: Steven Keith

Concept: In this game, you play as Toad
(for about nine seconds, as most of the game
is cinematic)

Story: The game begins as Toad is talking to Mario outside Bowser's castle. After you're done talking, Mario walks in the door and beats up Bowser. (You don't actually see this, it's just Toad waiting for Mario outside.)
In about twelve seconds, Mario walks back out. The next scene, Peach, Mario, and Toad are eating cake back at Mushroom Kingdom, when Luigi runs in, beaten and bruised, and explains that a giant dinosaur (not Bowser)
is on a rampage and destroying the city. Mario runs out there and doesn't come back for 3 hours. But the camera stays inside instead of following him out. Then a three hours later sign pops up, and Toad says, "THAT'S IT!
I'M GOING OUT THERE!!"  This is when you gain control of Toad. There are thousands of dead mushroom bodies lying around. You run over to the giant godzilla-like-monster  just in time to see Mario kill the monster. Then, the monster falls on you. THE END

Meweight Says: LOL! That’s hilarious. Of course, it’s not much of a game, so I’m forced to only give it a 1.5/10 (that extra .5 for the hilarity =P).

Game: Super Mario Bros. vs. Street Fighter

Players: 1-4 (3-4 in Tag Team, or Tournament Only)

Platform: Nintendo Gamecube

Note: The Mariobility of this game should be pretty high.  Capcom and Nintendo do work together on projects, like the Legend of Zelda: Oracle games, and the GBA Legend of Zelda.  And also, Capcom is planning a whopping 9(sarcasm) titles for the Gamecube this year.  That is more than the N64 got from Capcom in it's whole life.

Lastly, Capcom has now lost the Marvel license, so they are most likely looking for new venues to ppit their 'Street Fighters' against new opponents.

In Super Mario Bros. vs. Street Fighter, You fight 2 on 2 tag team battles in a tournament of mixed characters in order to defeat the Bosses at the end.  The Classic Capcom vs. series finally crosses paths with the Nintendo Characters.  I am working on a bigger, badder, Nintendo vs. Capcom, but right now, here is Super Mario Bros. vs. Street Fighter.

Controls

D-Pad: Move Fighter/Jump

D-Stick: Move Fighter/Jump

A Button: Low Punch

B Button: Low Kick

Y Button: High Punch

X Button: High Kick

L Button: Med. Punch

R Button: Med. Kick

L+R Buttons: Switch fighters

A+B Buttons: Summon Buddy Character

Start: Pause Menu

Play Modes

In Vs. modes, the computer can always take over for player 2.  You cannot play 2 on 2, with each player using a CPU partner.

Arcade:

In Arcade mode, you must fight through 8 random teams of fighters until you get to the 2 Final Teams.  The second to last team is Mech Zangief and Metal Mario, and the last Team is Giga Bowser and Cyber Akuma.

Exhibition:

In this mode, you don't tag team with other characters.  You play through all unlocked characters with a single character.

Endurance:

Like Exhibition, but your health only gets replenished at th halfway mark, and before the final character.

Tournament:

Set up a 24 man (or CPU) tournament like Super Smash Bros. Melee.  You can also set up a 12 team tournament, where 1 player can control 2 teams, or 2 players control each team.

Tag Team Vs.:

You can play a friend with a 2 man team, or 4 players can control 1 member each of 2 teams.  You can play up to 5 rounds.

All Out War:

Both players (only 2 allowed), pick 5 characters.  You play through these characters in a random order until you have wiped out all of the other players or CPUs characters.  There is only 1 round.

Royal Rumble:

All 4 players (only if divided into 2 teams), can fight on screen at once.

Characters

This is the roster of characters for Super Mario Bros. vs. Street Fighter. You start with 18 characters, 9 from each side.  You can unlock 4 more characters by winning the game as certain characters.  After fulfilling certain secret requirements, you can play as the bosses too.  Each side has two hidden characters that must be unlocked by push button codes (Jumpman, Daisy, Shadow, Shadow Lady).

Jumpman, for those who don't know, is a limbo character who originally was Mario.  His colors are inverted and his moves are a variation on Luigi's.  Daisy's moves are a variation on Peach's.  Shadow Lady and Shadow are variations on Chun-Li and Charlie respectively.

Mario Bros. Hyper Combos

Every Character has at least 3 Hyper Combos, also known as Super Moves.  I am not going to detail all of them, but I will name a few of each Nintendo Character's.  All of the Street Fighter Characters' moves are based on or are variations of their existing moves, so I won't detail theirs.  Since this is the Mario Bros. first 'true fighting game' venture, I will briefly detail some of their Supers.

Mario

Super Flame: Giant Repeating Fireballs That fire forwards in a straight line.

Spin Jump Drill Kick: Mario jumps in the air, and comes down with a blazing fast Drill Kick, like the one used to break Blocks in Super Mario World.  He is on a very slight angle, but is mostly vertical.

Hammer Attack: Mario dashes forward on a rampage with his hammer, until hiiting a wall, where he backflips to his original spot.

Luigi

Hyper Flame: Luigi Jumps in the air and fires downwards at a 45 degree angle.  His fireballs are Green, but are otherwise the same as Mario's.

Poltergust 3000: Luigi dashes towards the enemy, sucks them into the Vacuum, and the bag gets really big, as they take repeatingdamage.

Monkey Wrench: Luigi lunges a short distance with a giant monkey wrench.  If he connects with the opponent, he attaches it and spins it around them like a propeller, causing combo hits.

Dr.Mario

Megavitamins: Dr.Mario holds out his hand and a huge pill container opens above the arena.  It pours a bunch of Megavitamins on the enemy.

Super Vaccine: Dr. Mario Charges with a Huge Syringe, that Drills the opponent until the plunger is epressed all the way.

Peach:

Super Parasol: Peach does a Super Drill at an Upwards 45 degree angle with her parasol as the parasol grows constantly larger.

Giant Turnip: Peach throws turnips at the enemy at inhuman rate and finishes off with a Huge Turnip.  The turnips take an arching path as she throws.

Wario:

Hyper Shoulder Charge: Wario Does a energy charged Shoulder Dash.

Super Piledriver: My modified version of one of Wario's Wario World moves, Wario grabs the opponent, and does a spinning piledriver.  The combo hits come from him using them as a pogo stick as well.

Moneybags: Wario spins around with an humongous open moneybag and sprays coins everywhere (like Mewoth's Coin attack from SSB on steroids).  It doesn't cover the whole screen, but it covers a good area around Wario.

Cap'n Syrup:

Genie Tornado: Syrup holds out a lamp and launches three spnning Genies charged with lightning across the screen.

Mad Bomber: Syrup Launches a stream of Bob-Ombs at a 45 degree angle that arcs slightly at its end.  This is used for hitting aerial enemies.  In the air, it shoots straight ahead and slightly arcs down.

Yoshi:

Slurp: Yoshi grabs the opponent with his tongue, pulls them into his mouth, and rapidly grinds his teeth before launching them out.
