circus antics. The bats are restless and have been flying around like mad
things, I guess it doesn't help that the castle cannons are firing 24 hours
a day over the giant vegetable patch.
Level Type A long cave
Dragon Coin 1 When you reach the huge formation of yellow blocks, head up into the third section to get the Dragon Coin.
Hidden 1-UP When you reach the fourth (and final) section of the yellow block formation, jump up and smash the yellow block to the far left. A 1-UP is inside.
SECRET EXIT to Vanilla Secret 1 It would help if you have found the Red Switch Palace before you come here. If you haven't, still no need to fret. All you need is Yoshi. Jump up and then off Yoshi's Back to hit the block and make a vine sprout. Now do the Yoshi jump Mario jump move again to grab onto the vine and get the secret.
Warp Pipe There is a horizontal pipe at the end of the first section use it to travel into the next area.
That Sinkin' Feeling In the second area, hit the block to make a Starman come out. Now hit every single enemy while invincible and you will get an extra life. The ground sinks into the lava fast so get out of there quickly.
Dragon Coin 2 Floating above the sinking yellow rock in the second area.
Warp Pipe Use the horizontal green warp pipe to warp to area 3.
Mid-Point Tape At the very beginning of area 3, sitting on a floating rock.
Dragon Coin 3 The only way you can get this is if you are small. You must run along a narrow platform and grab the magic blue block and get rid of it. The dragon coin is right ahead.
Dragon Coin 4 When you reach a pit with pipes in it, bounce off the head of the red Koopa Para-Troopa to get the coin.
Dragon Coin 5 Once you have climbed the steep hill and entered the little maze, go to the bottom row and run along to the right. There is a Dragon Coin there.
End Tape Use Football Chuck's head to bounce to the top of the goal.
Level Type Very tall cave
Dragon Coin 1 Head up the level and bounce up the two green spring platforms. Now drop off to the right to get the dragon coin.
Dragon Coin 2 Head onto the vertical green pipe and hit the block to make a vine grow. At the top is another dragon coin.
Dragon Coin 3 At the top of the vines, jump off to the left and run across. Drop down the leftmost pit (with the green spring platforms in it) and get the dragon coin at the bottom.
SECRET EXIT to Star Road 2 This is MUCH easier if you have found the Blue Switch Palace. Grab the Spring board and carry it to the two blue ! blocks. Bounce off it and take the Warp Pipe to a secret exit. There is a way you can fly to the warp pipe instead, but it is too complicated.
Dragon Coin 4 Once you have used the spring board to jump through the Koopa Para-Troopas, head right and pick up the second spring board. Carry it to the top of the rock (Not the rock you have to get to using the spring platforms) and jump off it to find Dragon Coin number 4.
Dragon Coin 5 Stand on the same rock you used to get Dragon Coin 4 and leap off to the right to find number 5.
End Tape Jump from Football Chuck's platform to get a high score. The goal takes you to Vanilla Secret 2.
Level Type Cave Lake
A level without a Yoshi You will have to abandon Yoshi quite early on in this level because you have to climb a vine.
Dragon Coin 1 There is a coin arrow after you have climbed the vine. The bottom part is a Dragon Coin.
Invisible Mushroom There is a 1-UP Mushroom hidden in an invisible block. When you are back in the water swim right until you come to an area with hundreds of blocks over head. Jump out of the water to the left of the blocks and a 1-UP Mushroom will appear.
Dragon Coin 2 After the invisible extra life, there is a single ? block that can be used to jump out of the water. There is a dragon coin right above it.
SECRET EXIT to Red Switch Palace Jump out of the water where indicated above, and run left. Pick up the P-Switch and carry it as far left as you can go and then jump on it. Jump over the pit ahead and drop down into the second pit to find an area with a key and a keyhole.
Mid-Point TapeWhen you have jumped out of the water, go right instead of left and the mid-point tape is in-between two Chargin' Chucks.
Dragon Coin 3 After the Mid-Point tape is a steep slope going downwards. There is a Dragon Coin on it.
Warp Pipe There is a green pipe on dry land. Going down it will take you to an icy level with nothing in it. It isn't worth it.
Dragon Coin 4 On top of a big rock after the Green Warp Pipe.
Dragon Coin 5 You will have to go ALL the way back to the SECRET EXIT bit to get this dragon coin. It is in the dry half.
Level Type Switch Palace
There is a chance at an extra life here. You must move fast. Hit the P-switch and move out of the way for the invincible Koopa shell. Run along the brown blocks so that the shell kills everything. By the time all of the enemies have been knocked down, the extra life is yours. Go through the pipe and hit the Giant Red Switch to turn the red dotted lines into Red ! Blocks.

Level Type Ghost House Maze
Dragon Coin 1 From the beginning, run along to the circle of boo buddies and run under the platform. The Dragon Coin is here.
Dragon Coin 2 When you are jumping from little platform to little platform, there is one with a Dragon Coin over it.
Dragon Coin 3 When you find two rows of yellow blocks with a big boo in it, hit the block on the bottom row that has no blocks above it. A vine will sprout and you can climb up onto a hidden platform to get the dragon coin.
Dragon Coin 4 The last circle of boos in this ghost house has a dragon coin above it. You must stand on the ? block and jump up when the gap is above you.
Dragon Coin 5 Lying just next to the yellow door.
The yellow door takes me back, how do I exit? In the second area (the area with the ghostly bubbles) make your way through until you reach a group of three yellow blocks. Hit the middle one to get a P-Switch. Carry it to the far right of the level to the coins in the shape of a door. Collect the coins and hit the switch to make a magic blue door appear. This takes you out of the level.

Level Type Raging lava!
Lives don't burn away When you are on the skull raft, hit the highest flying block to make a 1-UP Mushroom appear. If you miss it and it falls into the lava, don't worry, it will sail across the surface and catch up with you.
Dragon Coin 1 After you have jumped over three pipes and slid down a steep hill, there is a Dragon Coin. It is just before the second Skull Raft.
Dragon Coin 2 Ride the third skull raft until you see four brown block. Jump onto them before you fall down the gap. There is a Dragon Coin here.
Warp Pipe You will ride the fourth skull raft up to a yellow pipe. Go down it to find yourself in an icy domain.
Dragon Coin 3 Inside the icy Warp Pipe is a Red Koopa Para-Troopa. Bounce off its head to reach the Dragon Coin.
Mid-Point Tape In between three orange pipes is the mid-point. To get it isn't easy, you will have to stop the Koopa Shell's trail of destruction before you even think about surviving in there. Yoshi is in the block above by the way.
Dragon Coin 4 Sailing on the fifth skull raft, you will come to a lava waterfall. Jump onto the floating rock and leap off to the right t get the dragon coin, make sure you will land safely on your raft first though.
Dragon Coin 5 You will soon be safely on land again, but there are many pits. One of the little, safe outcrops of rock has a Dragon Coin on it.
End Tape You can break the end tape high by riding the last skull raft to the top of the lava waterfall and jumping before you fall down.
Level Type Giant Vegetables and Bullet Bills.
Bullet Bills everywhere! This level pits you against the persistant Bullet Bills. These bullets fire at you from all angles and make moving around a nightmare.
Dragon Coin 1 At the beginning of the level, on the ground is a Dragon Coin.
Dragon Coin 2 There is a part of the level with lots of spring platforms between vegetables. There is a Dragon Coin here.
Mid-Point Tape You have to jump off a high Mushroom-shaped platform to get the Mid-Point.
Warp Pipe There are two pipes shortly after the Mid-Point. The second one is blue and can be used to go down into a lava cave. Be careful, you have to ride a skull raft through an obstacle course without dying so get rid of Yoshi as early on as you can.
Dragon Coin 3 At the end of the warp pipe obstacle course.
Dragon Coin 4 At the bottom of a couple of giant veggies after you leave the Warp Pipe.
Dragon Coin 5 Bounce off a Koopa Para-Troopas head to nab this Dragon Coin.
End Tape Use the Spring Platform at the end to bounce up and hit the goal tape.
Level Type Green Koopa Troopa level
More lives than a Chinese Citizen party Bounce off the heads of as many Koopa Troopas as you can in a row (use cape of course) and you will soon be bagging yourself many, many lives.
Dragon Coin 1 Use the Koopa Para-Troopas to bounce as high into the air as you can. You will find a group of clouds with a Dragon Coin on.
Dragon Coin 2 After the lone ? block on the floor is a Dragon Coin.
Dragon Coin 3 Sitting between two purple pipes after the Koopa Troopa frenzy.
Mid-Point Tape Just after the purple pipes is the easy peasy Mid-Point Tape.
Dragon Coin 4 Floating between a ? block and a brown block. Jump through the middle to get it.
Warp Pipe Go to the second pipe with Lakitu in it (it's green) and go down it to find a troublesome lava world that goes left.
Dragon Coin 5 Hit the P-Switch and run across the block bridge. At the other end is a Dragon Coin.
End Tape To hit it high, use the tall platform and the Red Para-Troopas.
Level Type Ride dolphins
Dragon Coin 1 Use the dolphins to get you to the first platform. There is a Dragon Coin high in the air.
Dragon Coin 2 Ride more dolphins to the next platform. Another Dragon Coin awaits.
Mid-Point Tape You will have to use the various dolphins to break this tape.
Dragon Coin 3 Porcu-Puffer will turn up so don't fall in the water. The Dragon Coin is between two vertically jumping dolphins.
Dragon Coin 4 When the dolphins carry you past the coin arrows you will land on a platform which is home to a Dragon Coin.
Warp Pipe There is a pipe that will take you out of here on the same platform as the last Dragon Coin.
Dragon Coin 5 On the other side of the pipe.
End Tape Leap from the high platform to get the tape when it's high.
Level Type Underwater Fortress
Warp Pipe To get this Warp pipe that will let you skip half the level you have to be little Mario. Walk under the spikes and go through. It isn't worth it as you have a greater risk of dying as little Mario anyway.
Warp Pipe At the end of this area is a warp pipe to the second area.
So no more help then? There isn't anything else in the level I can help with. Just be patient or those baddies will get you.
Beat Up Reznor These dino dragons sit on a rotating platform and blow fire at you. Hit the platforms from below to knock them off. Once two have been knocked off then the floor starts to destroy itself. Now you must get on the rotating platform and knock out the other two. You will then be led to Butter Bridge 1.

Level Type Koopa Castle
Scary Magikoopas To escape the Magikoopa Magic you must move fast. If you don't then they will zap you with their deadly magic.
The floating door puzzle There is a door floating in the air with coins around it. The only way you can get into it is if you use the P-Switch to turn the coins into rocks. You can now enter the door.
Mid-Point Tape Going through the floating door doesn't just let you skip loadsa level, it also bags you a Mid-Point and a 1-UP Mushroom.
Shifting Stones in the lava The second area is filled with stones that shift up and down, forever threatening you to be burned in the lava. More come from above to try and crush you. Work out where the rocks go before rushing out. There is not much else you can do except hope.
| Beat Up Lemmy Koopa Lemmy Koopa hides in pipes and pops out every now and again. Thing is, he has two fake Lemmy Koopas with him. You must smash the real Lemmy Koopa on the head three times to make him drop into the lava. Also, be careful of the Podaboo, as this is likely to kill you before anything else does. | ![]() |
