Koopa'sown
valley is triple guarded by Him, his son Larry and the Reznordragons. The
Chargin' Chucks have been busy digging undergroundescape tunnels for Koopa
all day, and they don't like beingdisturbed. Maybe Mario can use them to
reach the nefarious BowserKoopa and save the Princess.
Level Type
What to dohere and there The first area has nothing but a couple of BulletBills. The second area is pretty scary. There is a huge gang ofghosts who fade in and out all of the time, meaning you keephaving to change direction. If you can make it past these thenyou are free to roam the next area, a vertical drop into a poolof water. During this drop is a chance to get all 5 Dragon Coinsand two Stars. The stars are recommended as you also meet up withquite a few spiked balls along the way. Once you reach the bottomthere is an orb with a ? on it. This is the exit. When you hit itthe level will end and you will be taken to the Valley of Bowser.
Level Type
UsingMagic Blue Blocks The amount of enemies that try to run into you onthis level is astounding. Use the Magic Blue Blocks to knockthose enemies out. alll you have to do is walk into one and pickit up. Mario will hold it out automatically, and anything thatruns into you will get knocked away. Remeber, they do vanichafter a little while.
DragonCoin 1Walk right and take the lowest half of the first fork you cometo. Make your way through the wall of blue blocks and at theother side is a Dragon Coin.
DragonCoin 2Leave and take the top route, and then the top route again at thesecond fork. Past the Mega-Mole is a Dragon Coin.
Mid-PointTapeKeep taking top routes until you reach a pit of black nippers.Turn back and take the bottom route this time to get theMid-Point.
DragonCoin 3You will eventually reach a place where the tunnels branch offfive ways. Take the second to top one for a Dragon Coin.
DragonCoin 4Take the fourth to get another Dragon Coin.
Warp Pipe
DragonCoin 5This is on the far right of the level. Well done for making itthis far.
The Exitis here To escape this vile Molehill, go back to where thevine was and take the low path through a group of Blue Blocks.The exit pipe is right behind it.

Mid-PointTapeSitting on an easy t reach ledge, just after the first DragonCoin.
Warp Pipe
Fun withFeathers When you gothrough the warp pipe, back up and jump to the left. There is afeather in a block just off the top of the screen.
YoshiWings There are someYoshi wings to the right of the Warp Pipe. There are four DragonCoins up here.
ScaryStones The secondarea is host to a huge maze with a huge yellow shifting stone.The trick to the maze is to move methodically and patiently fromone safe spot to the next without getting crushed. Good Luck.
DragonCoin 2 This is in thebig scary stone area. You will find it low down and to get it youwill have to backtrack to the left a little.
DragonCoin 3This is in the big scary are. You will find it high up and youwill have to be quick to get it or you will get crushed.
SECRETEXIT to Valley Fortress Once you have escaped the shifting stone area youwill be warped onto a yellow platform that doesn't move. You hadbetter move quickly as it will begin to rise up. Once you haveescaped the trap and the platform has risen all the way, stand onthe edge and jump up to the left to find yourself on top of theceiling off screen. Run left and you will fall into an area witha key and a keyhole.

See MarioRun...To get through this level you will have a helluva time trying toavoid the many spiked posts and lava falls. Here is the advice ofan expert, take it several steps at a time. If it looks likethere is a big break ahead the take it. If you would rather besafe and patient then you may have a harder time later on.
Beat UpReznorThese dino dragons sit on a rotating platform and blow fire atyou. Hit the platforms from below to knock them off. Once twohave been knocked off then the floor starts to destroy itself.Now you must get on the rotating platform and knock out the othertwo. You will then be led to the Back Door of Koopa Castle.

DragonCoin 1 Just after thefirst ? Block. Jump over the pit to get it.
DragonCoin 2 Once you havegone through the door you will find yourself on a ledge with ayellow block above you. On top of that block is a P-Switch andabove them is a dragon Coin. Jump up and take the P-Switch downand then jump onto the yellow block to get the Dragon Coin.
DragonCoin 3 Hit theP-Switch and run to the left. The Dragon Coin is on the secondrow of brown blocks. Jump off the edge to get it.
And Then?Go through thedoor. This will take you to a room with a door and a ? block(containing a coin snake) in DO NOT hit the ? Block.
DragonCoin 4In the room described above is the Dragon Coin you are lookingfor. Now go through the door.
DragonCoin 5 This is to theright of the P-Switch platform.
5 Doors,no good can come of it! Door 1 will take you back to the beginningof the entire level! You don't want to do that. Door 2 will takeyou to the room described in "And Then?" above. DO NOThit the ? Block. Doors 3 and 4 will take you to The Exit.Door 5 will let you get to the Secret Exit.
SECRETEXIT to #7 Larry's Castle Go through door 5 mentioned above and you will endup in a room with a bridge and a P-Switch. If you hit theP-Switch now then the Secret will not work. Carry it right, overthe bridge and jump up to find yourself in the room with the CoinSnake block in. Hit it and guide it upwards in a flight of stairsfashion using the coontrol pad. Now make the Boo Buddies hit youso you become small. Now you must hit the P-Switch and it willturn the coins into blocks. Climb the blocks to find a tiny gapwith a key and a keyhole behind it.

DragonCoin 1 Jump onto the moving timer blocks (they look likeclods of grass and dirt with a number on) and you will soon
DragonCoin 2After you have ridden a few moving timer blocks you will come toanother Dragon Coin near a giant vegetable.
DragonCoin 3After the last Dragon Coin and the vegetable you have a choice ofwhether you are going to take the high platform or the low one.Take the high one and it will run out just as you hit this DragonCoin.
Warp Pipe
Mid-PointTapeAfter the Warp Pipe you will be on a platform. Use thespringboard to jump up and reach the Mid-Point.
DragonCoin 4You will soon have to cross another pit using platforms. A BanzaiBill will fire across the screen just as you reach one.
DragonCoin 5 Another easyto reach one. Just don't fall off any platforms.

Sink orSwim Neither, thewhite platforms melt when stepped on so don't stand on any fortoo long or you'll be having a lava bath.
Warp Pipe
SECRETEXIT to Star RoadThis cheat requires you to have Yoshi all the way through thelevel. Get the green dino at the top of the vine and head throughthe level patiently. If you are in danger then just try to keepyour nerve and don't fall into the lava if it is the last thingyou do. When you reach the end you will come to a key trapped insome dirt. Use Yoshi's tongue to get the key and then hop on topof the dirt to use the keyhole.

MoreSnakey Antics Fromthe very beginning of this level you will have no choice but toget onto another one o' them block snake things and ride itaround for ages. Try to stand in the middle at all times and dowhat you can to avoid the huge Ball n' Chains as well as spikesand lava.
DragonCoin 1 After you havepassed through the Ball n' Chain tunnel the snake will drop downand shoot up suddenly. Use the extra blocks to climb to the topand grab the first Dragon Coin.
DragonCoin 2 The levelmoves left and you will have to walk along a platform while thesnake passes under you. As soon as you are back on the snake,jump up to find a Dragon Coin.
DragonCoin 3 The snake willmove swiftly upwards and form a very steep staircase for you. Atthe top, above a Ball n' Chain is the third coin. But that's it,all that effort and there are no more Dragon Coins!
MagikoopaMayhem! The secondarea is a tricky bit filled with Magikoopas, Podoboos and YellowSpike Columns that move up and down. You may have to run on thisbit as time is tight. I suggest getting as far as you can with afeather. Once you have bypassed all of this bit there will be ared door waiting for you.
| Beat Up Larry Koopa Larry Koopa is very similar to the first boss. There is one difference though... There are now three flaming Podoboos hindering your progress. They actually make it very tricky and time is very tight, so jump on Larry to knock him into the lava as quickly as you can, losing a bit of life if you have to, you can always go back and restock before taking on Bowser's Castle. | ![]() |
Mario hasdefeated Larry Koopa in castle #7. All that is left is Bowser'sCastle where Princess Toadstool is being held. Can Mario rescueher and restore peace to Dinosaur Land?

DoorDilemma There is achoice of four doors to go through at the start of the castle.Once you have done the mini area in there you then have anotherfour doors to choose from with even harder mini-levels in. Onceyou have done them you will appear where Back Door starts. Isuggest you take door 2 and door 5 to get through here as quicklyand painlessly as possible.

the light on at thetop of the screen. From then on it is quite easy.
Mid-PointTape
If you enteredthis area through the Back Door rather than the long way
throughthe Front Door then there will be a Mid-Point Tape just beforethe
red Koopa Door. Gasp, now go take on Koopa!!!
Beat upBowser
Koopa Thebattle takes place on a stormy roof top. Koopa will
come down inhis nefarious Clown Pot. Don't touch the propellor on the pot
asit will shave some power off our hero. He will swing backwardsand forwards
across the screen and then stop to the right. Hewill then throw out two
MechaKoopas. Jump on them to knock themout and then throw them into the
air so Koopa swings into themand hurts himself. If you missed then he will
stop and throw outmore. After he has been hit twice he will fly away and
flameswill fall from the sky. Stand in between two of them and you willremain
safe. Princess will throw you a Mushroom which you shouldavoid if you have
full power. Koopas second attack will begin. Hewill follow you around and
then drop two huge boulders on you.Stand to the right of the screen and
when Koopa stops moving runto the left and jump over the ball. Run to the
right until hedrops the second one and repeat. Now move out and he will
throwtwo MechaKoopas. Pick them up and run away from Koopa and throwthem
up and he will follow you right into them. Hit him twice andhe will bog
off again. Flames and the Princess throwing aMushroom will repeat and then
Koopa will return with the thirdand final attack. The Clown Pot is angry
now and will smash downon the ground. Run back and forth under the Clown
Pot each timeit jumps up and he will stay in the middle. He will stop andthrow
two MechaKoopas. Hit them and pick them up and throw theminto the air so
they drop down and hit Bowser on the head. Hithim twice and he will eventually
give up, drop the Princess andfly away. CONGRATULATIONS you have completed
Super Mario World.
