Three vs. One Mini-games

Pipe Maze- The only person that does anything in this one is the person who has control of the chest. Look carefully at the pipes as the screen is scrolling upwards. Follow it from your character, turning at each horizontal juncture. If your eyes aren't that fast, just take a wild guess and hope you're right.

Bash n' Cash- This is the only 1 vs. 3 in which the 3-player team has the advantage. If you have a hammer try to cut off the Bowser suit person as they try to run around in circles. If not, just chase them until you catch them. If you're in the Bowser suit, there are different strategies. If you're against CP players set to Easy or Normal, just run around in circles and jump if they catch you. Against Hard CPs, it's a little more complicated. The best strategy is to try to keep bouncing on their heads. If you're good (and lucky) they'll never hit you. Against human players (that are good) you'll have to just run around and jump as much as possible to even have a chance of avoiding them. Just study what they do and try your best to avoid them. Remember: you get coins back if they get bashed out of you if you're fast.

Tug o' War- This is one of the hardest minigames if you're playing against CP players. Just rotate you're control stick as fast as you can. Nintendo reccomends that you use you're thumb and forefinger instead of the palm of you're hand. (And so do I!)

Bowl Over- In this one, press A to throw the Koopa Shell and use the control stick to guide it down the lane. If you're a pin, wait until the bowler has already thrown the shell to start moving. Try not to get bunched with the other character pins. If you're the Bowler, try to get all the pins bunched up together with each other, because if one falls on the other, it fall too.

Paddle Battle- Another one of those tough rotating games. It may not look like it, but the one person has the advantage here. Why? Because the river flows in their direction, they can earn more coins. The 3 player team has to paddle in conjunction with each other to paddle more effectively. Just rotate like the dickens no matter what team you're on. If a Shy guy pokes you, you're team will lose 3 coins and they will go to the other team.

Coin Shower Flower- If you're on the flower, try to get all the coins you can. You can jump, but I don't think there is any reason to. Just remember that you will more than likely not be able to collect all of the 40+ coins that fall in the game. If you get too greedy, you'll fall off! If you're on a leaf boat, go to the side of flower that's facing down. Chances are, the coins will go down that side.

Piranha's Pursuit- This game can be fun once you get good at it. If you're on the cloud, just pound away! If you're on the skateboard, press B as fast as you can; it's much easier with a Turbo Controller. If you trip, you probably won't stand a chance unless you grab a vine quickly enough. If you see a vine, you can jump up and grab it to play Tarzan! Remember this obstacle pattern and you can't go wrong: log, log, rock, log, log, rock and so on.

Tight Rope Treachery- This one isn't to hard if you can stay in the middle of the rope. Watch out for the wind! If you're on a boat, hit the person, not the rope. Just make sure you don't hit yourself or your buddies! If time runs out, the person on the rope loses.

Coin Block Bash- If you have the hammer, hit the blocks with A and hit the people with B. I have more fun hitting the people than getting coins! If you don't have the hammer, don't qaste time trying to get it. It's better to stand in front of the person who has it and "steal" their coins when they bash the block. Just don't let them bash you!

Crane Game- This game is only fun if you're the crane. If you are a prize, press A like crazy to wiggle. Much easier with a Turbo Controller. If you're the crane, go for the person with the most coins. If no one has more than 30 coins, go for the chest. Unless you have a personal grudge against somebody!
