Ludwig Von Koopa has been playing his terrible symphonies atop Cookie Mountain for weeks, no wonder the moles and Koopas are trying to get away as fast as they can! Don't get caught up in the stampedes.

Cheese Bridge Area

Level Type Gaping holes... with chainsaws!

Dragon Coin 1 Activate all three moving platforms. The first Dragon Coin requires you to be on the bottom platform.

Dragon Coin 2 Move up to the top platform for this coin.

Dragon Coin 3 Back down to the bottom platform to get this one.

Mid-Point Tape After riding the moving platforms is the Mid-Point tape. If you miss it from the top platform, don't worry. You can still reach it from the ground.

WINGS Hit the ? block next to the Mid-Point for a pair of magic wings. They will take you into a sky land, filled with nasties and treasures.

Warp Pipe You guessed it, the blue pipe is a warp pipe. There is nothing here except Bullet Bills so don't bother.

Dragon Coin 5 Nestled among the last gang of chainsaws is the final Dragon Coin for this level.

SECRET EXIT to Soda Lake The secret goal is behind the regular one. You should have Yoshi to do this. Jump off the final ledge with Yoshi and a cape and go underneath the goal. Jump off Yoshi and land on the platform. You should now be behind the goal. Walk right to find a 3-UP Moon and the secret goal.

Level Type Lake full of Torpedo Teds

Dragon Coin 1 There is a Dragon Coin in between two Torpedo Ted launching blocks. It is quite a way into the level.

Dragon Coin 2 Another Dragon Coin is nestled between three Torpedo launching blocks. Make sure none of the Torpedo Teds hit you.

Dragon Coin 3 A rocky formation hides the next one. four Launching Blocks are nearby.

Dragon Coin 4 The next is quite low. You have to swim down, right next to a Launching Block to get it.

Dragon Coin 5 A trio of Launching Blocks in a triangle formation hold the next coin in the middle.

Warp Pipe At the end of this area is a pipe to warp out of here and to the goal.

End Tape The End Goal leads you to Star Road 3

Cookie Mountain

Level Type Mountainous field (quite calm)

Dragon Coin 1 Above a group of diagonal rocks with shell-less Koopas sliding from them.

The Tall Green Pipe You can't go down the huge green pipe that blocks your path, but fly to the top and you will find a load of clouds. Run along the clouds and a 1-UP Mushroom will appear. You also emerge from this pipe later if you go down a warp pipe.

Dragon Coin 2 Under the Sumo Bros. note blocks. Don't let their fire hit you.

Mid-Point Tape This is just after the Note Blocks. Leap from the stumpy green pipe to break the tape.

Dragon Coin 3 Once the big mountain isn't behind you any more you will come to four yellow blocks. Hit the third one to make a vine grow. At the top is a Dragon Coin.

Extra Life on the Mountain Using the vine mentioned above, you can get onto the mountain and find a 1-UP Mushroom in a yellow block.

Warp Pipe After the vine block is a blue pipe. It warps you into a death trap with two Porcu-Puffers. It then lets you out at the top of the tall green pipe.

Dragon Coin 4 Lots of Moles will leap out of some short hills. There is a Dragon Coin resting above them all, D'oh.

The secret of the Pink Berries Eat two of these pink berries and Yoshi will poop out an egg. A cloud will hatch out of it and the cloud will drop happy coins for you. Catch all of the happy coins and he will throw you an extra life before he flies off.

Dragon Coin 5 The final Dragon Coin on this level is floating over a bunch of Green ! Blocks.

End Goal To hit high on the end goal, jump off the blue pipe.

Butter Bridge 1

Level Type Jumping through the sky

What goes up makes another come down If you step on one of the narrow Mushroom-shaped platforms then it will sink down while another goes higher. Keep jumping to stop it happening too much.

Dragon Coin 1 Next to the first gray platform.

Dragon Coin 2 Bounce off the red Para-Troopa's head to land on the sturdy wooden platform. The Dragon Coin is here.

Dragon Coin 3 This one is between two platforms. You should stand on the left mushroom platform to make the right one go up. now jump and you should get the coin and land safely on the right one.

Green Para-Troopas get you a life Jump on all of the Koopa Para-Troopas without touching the ground and the last one will bag you an extra life.

Dragon Coin 4 When the screen starts to move down, stand on the right hand mushroom platform and it will sink as far down as it will go. On the way, grab the Dragon Coin to your left.

Dragon Coin 5 The last Dragon Coin is next to a falling gray platform.

Warp Pipe There is a blue pipe at the end of this. It takes you back to safety. But don't go down right away! There is a green star block next to it.

Butter Bridge 2

Level Type Crazy Koopa Bridge

Dragon Coin 1 Hidden in the clouds at the beginning of the level is this Dragon Coin. Fly up to get it or maybe use a Super Koopa to bounce off if you are lucky.

Dragon Coin 2 Bounce of a yellow Super Koopas head to reach this tricky Dragon Coin.

Dragon Coin 3 Placed rather irritatingly next to two angry shell-less Koopas. You may have to bounce or fly up there.

Mid-Point Tape Shortly, you will find the Mid-Point Tape. Easily reached with a jump.

Warp Pipe Go down the second blue warp pipe after the mid-point and you will enter an area with a moving platform and a moving rope. Activate both for best results.

Dragon Coin 4 This is in the warp pipe, about half way through.

Dragon Coin 5 It may look impossible to get this because it is almost down a hole. The trick is to wait until a Super Koopa comes along and then bounce off its head.

#4 Ludwig's Castle

Level Type Koopa Castle

Area 1 This is a narrow corridor with loads of ball n' chains as well as some Dry Bones. If you are having trouble then here's a tip. Get close to the ball n' chain blocks when it is safe, the balls will pass right over you.

Area 2 The ceiling is falling and the only way you can make it stop is by hitting an ON/OFF switch. There is one switch here and when you hit it the ceiling will go back up and then start to drop down again.

Area 3 You may remember this trick earlier in Iggy's Castle. Use the rope fences to smash the Koopa Troopas without touching the floor and lots of extra lives will be yours. The door to Ludwig's Lair is at the very top.
Beat Up Ludwig Von Koopa Ludwig Van Koopa will attack you in a very wide room. He will breathe fire balls at you until you jump on his head. He will then turn into a shell and start chasing you around the room. Keep out of his way when he is doing this. Before long he will flip back out of his shell and leap through the air, starting his attack over again. Hit him on the head three times and he will be history.  Vindaloo

Ludwig von Koopa's days of composing Koopa symphonies in castle #4 are over. The Forest of Illusion lies ahead. Mario must use his brain to solve the puzzles of this perplexing forest.
