At last, I got off my lazy butt and decided to update! Well, not like I need to get up anyway... I bring to you the next chapter to Skipper's Legend of the Shine Scepter, as well as the first chapter to a new story, Mario & Friends Summer Vacation by Nate. Enjoy!

Hey there. Sorry for the update delay, but again college has been busy. Fortunately I'll be out in two weeks, so more time will be dedicated to the site then. I will have an update sometime next week though.

While you're waiting for Smash Bros. Brawl to be released tomorrow (there may be a few of you who have gotten a copy already), why not pass the time by reading a few of the things I've brought up today?
First things first, the new stuff: the next chapter to andyman's Mario and the Koopawitch's Curse, and the next two chapters to Skipper's Legend of the Shine Scepter have been added.
Looking at all the older stories that were posted before my term, I have decided that not all of them are to be restored. My biggest reason is that a huge deal of them are unfinished, so as you know, what's the point, no one's ever going to finish them. However, if you happen to be among the people who submitted a story before and want your story reposted, just send it to me as any other, but finished. For those that have been restored, here is a list:
The rules of submission have also been updated, and I have updated the formatting in most stories (that is, adding tabs) in order to make them more readable. Other formatting errors will be fixed in the near future.

Here is an update larger than normal that I have for all of you!
First off, I'd like to introduce the beginnings to two new stories (A Good Hunt Gone Bad by Anynomous, and Legend of the Shine Scepter by Skipper), the next chapter to Oh my Brother, Mario's The Pipe to a New Life, and another quirky story by The Blue Toad, Mario and the Golden Mushroom.

Happy New Year! Hope you had a nice holiday. After a long week of Mario Galaxy I have come back to update with the next two chapters to andyman's Mario and the Koopawitch's Curse, and I have also restored two older stories as well: Mario and Luigi's Vacation, and Luigi Saves the Day!

Horray! Now that exams have ended, I am free for the next month, so more activity will be taking place here. To celebrate, two new stories have been added: Two Green Monsters by MarioMastr, and the first part of Super Mario Palace by Joseph Depp.

To acknowledge the upcoming holiday season, I have updated with another work by The Blue Toad: A Christmas Story, which is a warm-hearted tale that teaches the meaning of Christmas.

Hey everyone, just dropping a line to say I am still alive! I am very sorry for the near-three month hiatus. Well, since I have started college I have been preoccupied with homework and the like, and the tedius proofreading and uploading of Mario's Murder Mystery on the Excess Express had worn me out from doing any Fan-Fic related work for a while. Hopefully as Christmas approaches and exams subside more time will be devoted to SMBHQ Fan Fiction.
The next chapter of Mario and the Koopawitch's Curse has been added; expect more stories to appear this month.

To welcome the new month, several stories have been added: the first chapter to a new story called The Mario Bros: The Mystery of the Koopahari Tomb! by Kodeman one, the first two chapters and prologue to the new Mario: It's all in the Hat by Spyder Z, and another excellent story by The Blue Toad, Mario's Murder Mystery on the Excess Express. Although not as quirky and a lot darker than his previous work "The Annual Ball," it still makes a fascinating read as it provides a unique story based off the events occuring after Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Also, some older stories have been restored: King Koopa's Soopa Plot, and How the Wart Stole Christmas. I've also decided that since there are some that have been unfinished and untouched in several years, I am willing to let people submit endings to these stories that are labeled (Abandoned). I will credit you alongside the original author.

A new story has been added courtesy of The Blue Toad: The Mushroom Kingdom's Annual Ball. This is by far one of the most enjoyable fan fics I have read, so I have tagged it with an *Editor's Pick!* to show that. Its overall randomness and quirkiness makes it an absolute pleasure to read.
