The Great Journey by Jeffbond

Chapter Two
They set off the next day, Mario and Luigi riding Yoshis, and Peach in a sudan chair carried by two royal Toads. Mario carried the map in his back pocket. Meanwhile, Bowser was picking his nose, when all of a sudden a map appeared from his garden. He looked at it, and it led to an area called "Sqaure Valley." So he too, set off on a journey to find this valley. In case he was in danger, he wanted to bring his loved one, Kammy Koopa. With her she brought two Magikoopas for protection. Bowser thought that maybe scaring people would work, so he brought along his skeleton-like Koopas, the Dry Bones. In addition they brought along two Koopa Troopas for bait, and eight Koopa shells for protection.

Chapter Three
Both teams came across the same obstacles, even though they encountered them at different times. First, they had to travel over a swamp, where a Nep-Enut ambushed them. Yoshi just pounced on it, while Bowser just did a simple scratch and it died. Next came the Pipe Planes. There were hundreds of these pipes, and only one led to the valley. Mario's team tried the first blue one. Inside were a line of Question blocks. They were high in the air, so Mario and Luigi used Yoshi to reach them. Inside were all mushrooms, but Mario and Luigi were already healthy, so they kept them in a bag, just in case they needed any more. They exited from that pipe, and then tried another green, which inside they found a strange-looking Magikoopa, which shot its wand at Luigi, creating him a duplicate. After all this confusion they finally entered the right pipe, with Bowser following.

Chapter Four
Both teams raced to the finish, but they stopped when they saw a gigantic Chess board. Soon some voice said, "Who ever wins, gets the valley" so they decided to play. Mario and Peach took the King and Queen; the two Luigis took the Bishop squares; the Yoshis took the knights; the Toads took the Rooks; and the Mushrooms were the pawns. On Bowser's side, the Koopa shells were the pawns; the Koopa Troopas as Rooks; the Dry Bones as Knights; the Magikoopas as Bishops, and Bowser and Kammy Koopa as the king and queen.

Chapter Five
It came down to this. Mario only had Peach, one Luigi, one Toad, a Mushroom, and himself, when Bowser still had everything except four shells and his Dry bones. A Koopa Troopa tried to check Mario, but Peach killed it. Next, A Magikoopa came very close to checking him, but luckily Luigi moved diagonal and killed it as well. Next, Mario's Mushroom began to move down the board with Peach protecting it, and it promoted itself to a Peach. Finally, the Peaches, Luigi, and Toad, defeated the shells, knocked off the last Magikoopa, and took out the last Koopa Troopa. Kammy Koopa defeated Toad, but left the King wide open, so the Peaches moved, Mario moved up, and finally got the checkmate on Bowser.

MARIO: He's so cute-a!
LUIGI: How'd ya' like-a to come-a with us-a?
SHAWN: Ya' mean I can live with you guys? SURE!
MARIO: Come on-a!

So Bowser heard the news and he self-destructed. As for the other Koopa Kids, well they were also adopted by the Mario Brothers. Ludwig finally woke up.

LUDWIG: Huh?
LEMMY: We were adopted by the Mario Peoples!
LUDWIG: YAY! NO MORE TORTURE! ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....
