Super Mario Bros. is not as popular as it was 10 years ago, and hence, there is not an audience big enough to make a significant profit. Nevertheless, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was able to make a comeback with an awesome storyline and a large audience, as was Sonic, so I suppose that re-creating a Super Mario Bros. cartoon is possible; just remember to keep your fingers crossed!
