Mario TV Tray - During Mario's popularity surge shortly after SMB came out, Mario was on all sorts of cooky things. During this period, there was also no standard, accepted cartoon drawing look for Mario as Nintendo has today, so every product was open to it's own artists interpretation. This product is a prime example of both these facts. The room looks familiar to the live action segment area in the SMB Super Show to me. Shown on the tray is a very strange Mario (standing on a huge NES Advantage controller?!) with a slobering Bowser leaping out of the screen behind him for a sneaky capture. Luigi and a few Mushroom people make a token appearance too, for some reason. A rare find, but not one that I can see many collector's be demanding.
