Story
Note: This story comes straight from the SML2 instruction booklet While I (This is Mario in first person, -ed.) was away crusading against Tatanga in Sarasaland, and evil creep took over my castle and put the people of Mario Land (question, when the heck did Mario get his own land -ed.) under his control with a magic spell. The intruder goes by the name of Wario. He has been jealous of my popularity ever since we were boys, and has tried to steal my castle many times. It seems he has succeeded this time. Wario has scattered the Six Golden Coins from my castle all over Mario Land. These Golden Coins are guarded by those under Wario's spells. Without these coins, we can't get into the castle to deal with Wario. WE must collect the 6 coins and save everybody. It's time to set out on our mission.

Featured Item
Space Suit - This is an item only in the strictest sense of the word but it helped with Mario's first and only venture into space. In the space levels, the kewl part is that there very little gravity. If you jump, you will keep going until the levels ceiling (albeit very slowly). By tapping a you can hover in midair like in the water, but you sink even less. It's very fun when you try it. I wish they put it in a home game though. Oh well.

Heavy Zed - I seem to like featuring the enemies that are only kind-of enemies. Heavy Zed is one of these. He's only a big owl with a buzz cut. E sleep all day unless some rude person (erhrm Mario) Jumps on his head. He then wakes up and rides you to where you want. What a nice guy. Then he goes back to sleep, the lazy bum!

When you defeat Wario's three incarnations he shrinks down to his regular size. He's pretty small really. He starts crying for mercy. I think he then runs away when Mario isn't looking. Some one remind me, I haven't played it for a while
