- Another product of the deluge of products after SMB's release is this 1988 mini-pinball game from Playtime. The little plastic and glass unit can fit on a small coffee table, and is pretty light for a pinball game. The game has three flippers on two levels, and 5 standard bumpers where you get most of your points. There are some other plastic protusions to guide the ball, but it's hardly a very deep game. The only thing that makes the table Mario related is the pictures on the score display and under the play field. Replace those pics, and it could just as easily be a Sonic pinball table. The game is quite loud when its running, using a noisy fan to cool it off, and making an annoying ringing whenever a bumper is hit. A pinball afficianado may be interested in this, but it wouldn't keep anyones interest for long. Not a top of the line product, as Mario items go.
