Apparently there are production issues with the Super Mario Galaxy pre order coin. A reader of GoNintendo.com went into the Nintendo World Store to pre order a copy of the game and decided to ask about the coin. The employer responded there are production issues and concluded there's a strong possibility the coin won't be available until a week after SMG's launch. This problem is involved at store locations whom are involved with the pre order coin. Any similar experiences anyone? - Report By Gage at 10:27 AM Thursday, October 25, 2007
We said a couple of days ago EB locations were getting the demo of Super Mario Galaxy- it is now available with a ten minute limit so hurry and get to the stores! It appears one employee got a little Mario happy when he uploaded the game onto the Internet which means people, if they can find the torrent, can begin to play this highly anticipated title. As it is frowned upon on the Internet we will not post the source for the game code no matter how much you want to play this. You'll have to unfortunately wait until November. - Report By Gage at 4:22 PM As we reported yesterday a young man planned on beating Super Mario Galaxy before it shipped next month and was recording his progress. Just so happens The Entertainment Software Association Members feel there's a copyright problem with this as all of the videos have been removed except the game disc clip. - Report By Gage at 6:45 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2007

Nintendo says SSBB will now be released in the United States on February 10, 2008. Usually games are not released on Sundays so we'll keep an eye out for anything new. Director of the King of Kong documentary Seth Gordan is really interesting in adapting this successful Wii title into a feature movie. "I’d love, really love, to adapt Super Paper Mario into a movie, a movie that would constantly switch from 2D to 3D. In five years, 3D cinema is going to be really big," Now we must ask you, the readers, your thoughts on a possible movie spin off of this title. Thoughts being? - Report By Gage at 3:00 PM According to statements made by the Marketing Director of Insomniac Games, Ryan Schneider, Miyamoto drew inspiration for Super Mario Galaxy from their Rachet & Clank series. "There’s evidence all around us I think, of certain games that have borrowed from Ratchet and Clank," he told Kikizo in a recent interview. "One that we’re even extremely flattered by is Super Mario Galaxy, with their spherical worlds; we did spherical worlds in Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal." "It would be amazing to think that Miyamoto-san thought that was so cool that he wanted to incorporate it into Mario Galaxy. Granted, he’s doing it in a different way, but it’s still a spherical world, so it’s flattering to see those sorts of things." - Report By Gage at 10:00 AM

A review of Super Mario Galaxy done by Belgian magazine Gunk has been proven a fake according to a Nintendo representative. According to the rep the world wouldn't have access to this title until October 10th at the earliest “It is 100 percent not a review. No one in the world will have access to final game code until October 10 at the earliest.” Not only was Nintendo enough to disprove this review but the community also showed little interest. Most saying that they based their review on demos available at E3 this year. Take this as an alert to not read so called "Reviews" until after October 10 and at a trusted source.- Report By Gage at 4:20 PM I would like to thank Sean for making that awesome new news ticker! He's been great. Now some news. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels has been released onto the Shop Channel today and is available for 600 Points. In this version there are some upgrades: Mario stops quicker, Luigi jumps higher, there's new wind gusts, Poison Mushrooms and Warp Zones. - Report By Gage at 3:47 PM |
