It has been since February when we covered Mario in Nintendo Power magazine but as the months went by and issues came and gone you should have noticed nothing was covered similar. For something new, but old, I'll give you the run down of Mario in September 2007's NP issue as I just purchased it this afternoon: Most Wanted and Top Sellers Wii Most Wanted: Super Smash Bros. Brawl was number one on the list while Super Mario Galaxy was number 3 (out of 5 total games). There was nothing wanted Mario-related for the Nintendo DS unfortunately. Out of 10 games for Wii best sellers we have Mario Party 8 at number one and WarioWare: Smooth Moves ranking 8. As for the DS: New Super Mario Brothers ranks 4 while Mario Kart DS resides at 6. Any Articles? Sure! If you can get through the coverage of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption you should arrive at an article for Super Mario Galaxy. Complete with a few screen shots on the page Nintendo Power reviewed the game. Here is SOME of what they wanted to tell their readers... Longtime gamers will especially enjoy the return of some of Mario's famous power-ups, along with a few new ones with transformative properties. One turns Mario into a Boo that can fly and even pass through solid objects, and another turns him into a bee that can hover and cling to certain surfaces. But whether you're a new Wii owner of die-hard Mario fan, you'll likely find a lot to enjoy in Super Mario Galaxy. It's release date can't come soon enough."Brawl Evolves" A small subject for discussing as people who are reading this can easily be informed every weekday to what is new in Super Smash Bros. Brawl via the official website. Virtually everything on these pages people were already informed of if they vist the website. The Small Stuff Mario Strikers Charged was reviewed. We're promised some "in depth" coverage of Super Mario Galaxy in October's issue. Be ready! Well, that about wraps up this months look of Mario in Nintendo Power magazine. If you, the reader, wants me to run down Mario in NP in a different way please leave a comment in this article. Thanks as I know I do not talk about this in extreme detail. - Report By Gage at 5:10 PM Saturday, August 18, 2007

An interview between The Guardian and Bob Hoskins, the actor who portrayed Mario, says that the movie was a nightmare for him. Here is what he had to say about it: "The worst thing I ever did? Super Mario Brothers. It was a f***in' nightmare. The whole experience was a nightmare. It had a husband-and-wife team directing, whose arrogance had been mistaken for talent. After so many weeks their own agent told them to get off the set! F***in' nightmare. F***in' idiots." - Report By Gage at 8:40 PM Friday, August 03, 2007

![]() As I wasn't around the website back in 1997 I still find it very interesting that time seems to surely fly by fast. Ten years is a long time if you think about it yet the days and months fly right by and you'll end up at the moment like these... celebrating a 10th anniversary when you think your site wouldn't be up on the Internet for a single year (to my knowledge I remember that being said by Kyle). This is a special day for both Kyle and Jay as well as long time members such as Sean Kelly who we can credit for working hard keeping viewers updated with information on the games. With that said I would like to give a BIG shout out to Kyle (founder), Jay (co founder of SMBHQ, Neglected Characters), Sean (web master), and SMBHQ's readers for sticking around for the long ten years. Also we should give thanks to the following people whom work for SMBHQ with their own sections:
