Corgi International and Nintendo of America have formed a toy licensing agreement which will be valid until 2010. Properties from Nintendo such as Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, and Super Mario Bros. are expected to be affected. Now the grand question: what sorts of new toys, if any, do you hope to see of the SMB series?

Dr. Mario has been mentioned, as you can see, on the ESRB website like so. Is this going to be a VC or Wii release? You can see that Wii was included with Dr. Mario so could this be an all new puzzle game? There's been no details about this nor has Dr. Mario been mentioned on Hudson's VC page for upcoming releases. We'll try to get confirmation of if the game is going to be released to the VC or Wii, or not at all. We should know in the coming weeks!

Oh, my! All this attention is enough to make a girl blush! As a princess I’m used to being adored, but this is just too much! I know I’m probably sounding like a broken record, but once again my friends at the NPD Group are telling me that Wii and Nintendo DS finished May as the most popular systems in the United States.

Thanks to everyone for your wonderful support! Nintendo couldn’t have made it back to the top without you. You’re all Mario-caliber heroes in my book.

Now I’m not one to brag, but some of the top games of this month happen to feature someone very pretty and popular - me! I’m talking about the super-fun Mario Party 8 and Super Paper Mario for Wii. Sure, Mario gets top billing, but from where I sit (on my throne), I’d say he’s earned it. Besides, my own game on Nintendo DS, Super Princess Peach, is still selling strong, showing that a girl can do anything she puts her mind to.

I think all my Super Princess Peach fans would have just as much fun working to earn their Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree. I’m not in that one, but don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. Be sure to watch for me in my super-stylish soccer gear in Mario Strikers Charged, which arrives on Wii on July 30. I can’t wait!

Well folks time sure flies. As we reported back in March, the DVD collection of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 was slated for a release in North America in June. I first heard a release date of June 26th and then IGN came a long and said June 5 was the release date. So I'm here reporting on the possible release date -- here is where you come in.

If you happen to come across the item in the store, please let us know by leaving a comment or sending me an E-mail: spritersunion@aol.com (any other information you may think will be of interest is also urged).

Thanks!

Marketing Manager for Nintendo of Germany, Patrick Nagel, said that Mario Kart Wii could be published this year, however nothing is official at this point and no word on a possible U.S. Wii edition.
