Square-Enix launched the official Japanese website for Itadaki DS. This game is to feature characters from the Super Mario and Dragon Quest series (you probably knew that). Once you go to the website there will be the theme for Super Mario Bros. playing, look at the bottom right hand corner and you'll notice a music bar with 3 themes available to play. The third (3) features a theme from Super Mario RPG. The second, I presume, is from Dragon Quest. - Report By Gage at 7:35 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2007
News has been spreading around today, from several sources talking about another new Mario title (new or not?). Anyway, it is rumored that Kremlings from the Donkey Kong Country series would be featured in a Mario title slated for a 2007 release. No, not Strikers Charged - Report By Gage at 5:34 PM Saturday, May 26, 2007

Small news but if you eat at Wendy's restaurant then don't forget to check out the newest Mario toys available with each Kid's Meal, or if you request the toys. Currently in the toy batch is a Mario Magnetic Spinner, a Mario Disc Ejector, and also a two sided jigsaw puzzle: one side features Excite Truck while the other is WarioWare. Other toys include a small baseball game and a truck from Exite Truck. See the Toys page at Wendys.com if you want the pictures and brief figure information. **We reported on the figures coming to Wendy's back on April 25 however they were just today released and available to customers** Will be served until June 24. - Report By Gage at 8:25 PM Sunday, May 20, 2007
Some, key word "some", GameStop and EB Games stores had began to put Mario Party 8 on store shelves and you could purchase it. However, they decided to pull them until the actual release date arrives which happens to be Tuesday, May 29th. - Report By Gage at 10:24 AM According to this image, yes. Paper Mario, which was released in 2001 for the Nintendo 64, will be released onto the Virtual Console at some point. Not sure when but the topic is surely flowing through the minds of the staff at Nintendo. Right now we're only going by this image and will bring the latest once it becomes available so hang tight! - Report By Gage at 10:20 AM Thursday, May 17, 2007

The latest news bag has been posted here at SMBhq and if you read it you'll notice the question / suggestion about posting a group of people's project "Super Mario Film". I agreed to post it here in the news section if it was okay with Sean and apparently it is. Here's the trailer to it (provided in the mailbag): Also, check out their YouTube channel. We will keep you updated with the latest news developments regarding Super Mario Film, thanks. - Report By Gage at 6:30 PM Sunday, May 13, 2007
Not a big news announcement but it's an item of interest. There's yet another new auction in the Nintendo world going on but this time it's getting interesting. The signed Nintendo DS by Miyamoto, Iwata, and Charles Martinet (voice of Super Mario) is being auctioned off beginning at a cost of $2000. Bidding ends on May 19th. - Report By Gage at 4:44 PM Saturday, May 12, 2007
Nintendo of Europe has launched a whole slew of websites in France, Spanish, Italian, English, Dutch, and language for the Netherlands. I presume you guys probably want the English site but for readers globally you can check out this page and choose what language you prefer. Note: We in the U.S. know this game as Mario Strikers Charged but as we reported in March there was a name change for Europe. -- That explains the addition of Football in the title. - Report By Gage at 3:22 PM Friday, May 11, 2007
Workers at GameSpot and EB Games said that reservations for Mario Strikers Charged would begin today. However, no "BIG" announcement has been made known to the mass majority of the public (I wouldn't know if I would not have checked out GoNintendo.com). So once more details pop up this evening I'll be posting them. So, keep it-ah tuned here! - Report By Gage at 6:32 AM Thursday, May 03, 2007
