First and foremost, I know Diddy Kong doesn't relate much to Mario but it could in this case... Hmm? This is not real big news but with the release of Diddy Kong Racing DS Nintendo Press, Nintendo's Online Press Room, has announced that it may in fact top the charts and possibly exceed sales of Mario Kart DS. According to the press release, Diddy Kong Racing DS has an advantage of the Wi-Fi Connectivity and new characters. So the question remains, will this DS game rack up over Mario Kart DS's 1.5 million unit sales? Nintendo thinks so or at least is considering this to be a strong possibility. - Report By Gage at 4:41 PM Tuesday, February 06, 2007

1Up has given Mario Kart 64 for the Virtual Console a 'No Thanks' according to their Retro Round-up. Here's their reason from the post: Nintendo has chosen not to implement N64 memory card support, which means that ghost racing data can't be saved and replayed. And for some reason, this version of the game doesn't seem to want to save individual track records, either. So despite all the fond memories, despite some damn cool track layouts, despite the cleaned-up graphics, we have to give a rating of "no thanks" to MK64 on Virtual Console. Check out the full talk on this game here. - Report By Gage at 7:17 PM |
