You've read the reviews of Super Mario Galaxy and from what you gather its a pretty awesome game, even Nintendo felt the need to address the game. Is it really all that great, though?According to CNET blogger Don Reisinger the game isn't what the reviews say it is. Here is a snippet of what Ron had to say in his blog:
Honestly when it all comes down to it this is just personal taste or a "I agree" or "I disagree" type of thing. What's going to have to happen is people buy or rent the game and experience it for themselves then come to a conclusion. - Report By Gage at 6:54 PM

Honestly, how can someone compare Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty 4 to a Mario game...it is like trying to compare a pig to a rocket launcher, no contest. It is Mario Galaxy, the fun isn't in appearance it is in Gameplay. And if you ask me the Gameplay Rocks so, that is just my two cents.
Galaxy has its flaws, but not nearly as many as Mr. Reisinger has in his brain. I pity this Halo generation that is psychologically incapable of enjoying any game that's not a photorealistic blood fest with naked women.

And does he really think that Sunshine had a better story than Galaxy simply because it had voice acting? Cookie Monster taking over an island is more compelling than a dragon taking over the universe simply because you don't have to be able to read to understand it? |
