Super Mario 64 Soundtrack -
This is the first and only CD that I know of with Mario music (at least here in the states). The fact that this is the only product of this very specialized type makes it quite a big collector's item Mario-wise. Music from all 15 levels is included on the CD, as well as short music excerpts from other areas (walking by the pirahna, file select screen, etc.) These are all perfect renditions from the game, although many seem lacking without Mario's voice included (The course clear music, heard when you get a star, is without the trademark "Here we gooooooo" which I found very unsettling). This CD was offered as part of a series with Wave Race and Star Fox soundtracks also being released. They were available everywhere, from Nintendo Power subscriptions and cashiers desks at video game stores, to plain ol' music stores! You could find this CD everywhere. That, and the fact that it's pretty recent make it not worth much as a collectable. But it's still got great tunes!| SMBhq is best viewed at 1024 x 768 resolution or higher. |
