Mario Mariners Pin - What happens when a successful video game company buys a baseball team? Cross-promotions such as this, that's what. This is a one inch tall pin with a glossy finish that was made to commemorate the buying of the team, and was either given out at a press conference for the announcement, or at the opening game of the season (Any confirmation would be appreciated). The uniform Mario is wearing is an exact replica of the Seattle Mariners, excepts it says "Mario-ners" (Cute, eh?). Given the hard to find nature of this item, as well asthe niche appeal to baseball collectors, it could be worth quite a bit. Hold onto it if you have it.
Also: Collector's Pin Set A set of high quality pins from the SMB1-2 era. Features Mario with a star, Fiery Mario, Princess Toadstool, Mario jumpnig in front of the SMB2 logo, and, inexplicably, Mario on a skateboard.
