Six Questions, Six Responders
Hello....
I am an artist and have been asked to create a project for a young boy for his birthday. He is absolutely smitten with Mario and has all the games, etc. The project I am working on needs material and I have been searching for Mario themed fabric. Having search far and wide...even Licensed Fabrics available...I have not seen any fabric with the Mario theme.
If there is Mario fabric available...please advise where it can be purchased by providing a telephone number and/or a link for online search.
You will make this little boy very happy on his birthday.
Thanks for your time and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Risa Williams
Hi. I was wondering how you all think about Luigi being playable in Super Mario Galaxy (AKA, his first role in a non-remake SM64 type game).
P.S. I can tell Jay's gonna like it, but he's not gonna like that you have to get all the stars as Mario first.
P.S.S. I hope I didn't just spoil it for those who didn't play the game (both in the mailbag crew and those reading it on the site). If I did, sorry!

I have a question for Jay. When did you first use the "Kill Bill"
joke? I was curious because I first saw it when Bill said "Jay! You
used this joke already! It isn't funny!" or something along those
lines. ANYway, I was curious when you first used it is all. Thanks!

I think it was first used in the movie parody short (correct me if I'm wrong)

Dang, what's with all of the questions for me. Haven't you all picked up on the fact that I never answer questions seriously??? Anyway, even if I wanted to answer this question seriously, I have no clue what the answer is. You're right, but I have no idea when I used that joke the first time. Jumanji!!!-jay

It's really hard to tell when Jay has started a
particular joke, since he reuses them so many times.
It was obviously after the movie came out, since Jay
doesn't have an original bone in his body either.
... It's a Jay Resop Question!
October 10, 1999. Jay's joke was actually the inspiration behind the similarly named movie.

Hell, Jay INVENTED killing Bill. Or at least it was Jay Respo. -CSM

Hello, I'm a HUGE fan of Super Mario and I have two questions. 1. I was wondering in the next Super Smash Bros. what Mario charaters whould you like to see? 2. Where do you guys think where Mario Kart 64 action figures would be?

I would like to see Random SMBHQ Mailbag Question
Writer so I can blow his/her sorry butt to the moon
with Snake, along with all their mindless questions.
As for your second question, you'd find them in a
furnace, because that's where I put them.
Oh my, a question for my department... Okay, I see Geno, Bowser Jr, and maybe Dixie Kong or K. Rool. I don't think we will see someone like Mona or the Baby Mario Bros, even though the later makes more sense in the Smash Bros. canon where everyone is a trophy, than in the Mario canon.
As for the second question, Ebay.
I was hoping for something like this.
Of course, the mere addition of Toad would have been nice.
MAJOR SPOILERS IN THIS RESPONSE. If you CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH, I suggest
scrolling waaaaay down so this doesn't catch your eye.
Considering the game already has all the characters revealed I wish I
could give a decent answer. If there's gonna be a Smash Bros. IV (which I
hope there will be since this is one of the few franchises that just keeps
improving, but I doubt it since Masahiro Sakurai is now a freelance
designer (he's one of my favs, up there with Miyamoto, Sakaguchi, and the
best of all time, Itoi-san). But if there IS, we NEED to see more Lemmy
Koopa and Iggy Koopa.
As for your second question (I REALLY wish I had time to make another EBay
comix). -CSM

Hey SMBHQ Ive warped to world 8 in Super Mario bros but I cant get past World 8 Ive just got up to world 8-3 but I rarley get past 8-1 nd Barley get to 8-2 Do you guys know any tricks to get past them easy? thx
- Mr Nintendo
World 8 is not that hard after you played it a million times.
Um...er...um...P-wing.-jay

Y'know, if you spent LESS time writing to us and
more time practicing the level, you might have beaten
it by now! Alternatively, you can use a Game Genie.
They're pretty handy. Too bad it's still impossible to
beat Battletoads using one.

Editor's Note: Yes PM, I have a lot of time on my hands.
Protip: Don't die.
You just got to run and/or jump over the Hammer Bros and Bullet Bills and avoid falling, but once you get to Level 8-4, you save the princess and beat the game!
Instead of warping to the end, actually play the game and build some skill.
Elaborate. By world 8-1 do you mean the actual one or the first ship?
Also, there's no world 8-3 unless you count the mini-fortress. Those
levels are HARD, and 8-1 IS the hardest. If you want to have an easier
time I suggest going to world 8 the hard way (Ie going through all the
levels in the game, INCLUDING world 7, which we all hate (except for the
groovy music). -CSM
Editor's Note: I think the question was about the FIRST SMB.
