Hello,
Can you tell me if the mario and zelda curtains are for sale. I would love to buy them from you if you could please tell me the price.
Thanks,
-laurel
Sean Kelly: eBay is your friend. If it's not there, it's not anywhere.
Kyle Orland: I'm sure someone, somewhere is selling them. Most likely on eBay .
Jay Resop: Um...five hundred dollars. Tanzanian dollars.-jay
PenguinMan: I would like to tell you, except I have no idea
where to get them, and if I did have them, I certainly wouldn't sell them to some STRANGER on the internet. So there.
EAM: I couldn't find them. Your best bet is to keep trying
the SMBhq Auctions page, someone may be selling them sometime.
Luigi128: Probably not for sale anymore, and no, we probably don't sell them. Try eBay .
Got to have these for christmas for my kids. Where and how can I get Mario Beaning Babies? Is there a Nintendo catalog I can get my hands on or can I order them on the internet or is there a store that sells them. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank-You!!
_ Imhazeld
Sean Kelly: A) It's not a good idea to send in question abouts what to get for Christmas or what to wear for Halloween, since these questions tend to sit in the inbox for months before being answered. B)See last question.
Kyle Orland: Last I saw these was seven or eight years ago (man, has it really been
that long?) at 7-11. Secondhand stores or good old eBay should turn some up.
Jay Resop: eBay ...eBay ...use it, love it, marry it, buy from it, but be careful of it. There are lots of scammers out there.-jay
PenguinMan: Well, I guess if you're going to start shopping for
Christmas now, you'll have lots of time to look for
stuff. Anyway, I'd try eBay .
EAM: I don't think Nintendo is still selling Mario Beanie Babies. I did find
some on Ebay, but the auction ends in 23 hours and you won't get this reply by then. Try searching from the SMBhq Auctions page.
Luigi128: Well, you could get them on eBay , probably. They were selling Yoshies awhile ago, but... I haven't seen them anywhere for awhile.
Hi!
I have some info on Mario products. I'm not sure if
that section has been updated recently, but ah well,
worth a try! I remember back in the day there used to
be Super Mario Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I looked it
up and you can actually watch a copy of the
advertisement at the Mushroom Kingdom.
Also, about the Mario Marionette. In Japan, several
of their children's magazines include toys you can
make out of cardboard. They come with pre-made
cardboard pieces that you just pop out, fold, and
piece together according to instructions. They
sometimes come with pins, strings, magnets, or plastic
objects to incorporate with the cardboard pieces. The
toys are sorta like those paper-airplane kits except
tons cooler because it's so detailed and it all fits
really well. These often let you make toys such as
paper guns, 3-D image viewers, magic wands, etc, and
they're always associated with a popular comic or
franchise in the magazine. Several times, they have
had Mario toys you can fold up - I may still have a
Super Smash Bros. cardboard fighting game in my attic.
The appearance and the style of the "Mario Marionette"
really resembles one of these cardboard toys - from
his shoes, it really looks like folded cardboard. So,
I don't know if you'd really classify this as a
product, since wouldn't be able to buy it.
If you want any more info or any pictures of
anything, just ask! Thanks and good luck with your
site! (I just revisted it after having seen it about 5
years ago...)
-Wilma
Sean Kelly: I'm not a member of fileplanet, so I can't see the ad. However, I do remember SMB Mac & Cheese. That Marionette thing sounds interesting, maybe I'll look into it a bit more. And yes, the products page had at least 1 update in the last year (Mario Wendy's Toys).
Kyle Orland: Thanks for the info. I wish they made cool, cardboard Marios for
magazines in this country. Even if you can't by the marionette
independently, you can still get it from the magazine so... I dunno.
As for the mac and cheese, yeah I remember it. That commercial seemed
really cool at the time, but now it makes me cringe.
Jay Resop: Was there a question in there at all? If so, then the answer is Canada.-jay
PenguinMan: It's like Paper Mario, only with cardboard, and
more Nintendo characters.
EAM: I remember the Mario macaroni and cheese! The Mario Marionette sounds
awesome - I'd like to see some pictures.
Luigi128: I'm sure the information is well appreciated by whoever handles that section, or whatever...
Could you please tell me if all the Classic Nes Series games for gameboy advance have save features on them? Can you save your progress on Super Mario Bros?
- Jonathan Gallet
Sean Kelly: Since I don't have a GBA, I wouldn't know. I'd doubt it though, since the games seem to be direct ports.
Kyle Orland: No save feature, I think. It's exactly as it was on the NES.
Jay Resop: I donno...I never wasted my money on those things.-jay
PenguinMan: Hey, when Nintendo goes retro, they should go
RETRO. The Classic NES Series games should be shaped
like a NES cartridge, and be exactly what the original
game contained, no frivolous extras and stuff. That
would mean no save feature for the ones that had it
originally, but that's the price you pay for
authenticity.
EAM: I don't own any of the Classic NES Series, but from what I hear they are
exact ports of the originals without anything added; not even save
features.
Luigi128: Well, I don't know for sure. But the Super Mario Bros. on Super Mario All-Stars allowed you to do that, so I would think so.
Just wanted to thank you guys for such a great site. Man I thought I
was a Mario freak, but I see there are others that are more
knowledgeable than I am. I have played all of the Mario games since
the first Mario on the original Nintendo including Mario is Missing.
I take that back I never got to play Mario 64. For some unknown
reason I never bought that one. Is that the same game they will have
on the Nintendo DS? The reason why I believed I was a Mario as well
as a Nintendo junkie is, because I have and never will buy any system
that is not Nintendo. I have that T-shirt that has the first Nintendo
controller on it stating Know Your Roots. On my cell phone, my ring
tone is the theme music from the first Super Mario game. Shh! Don't
tell anybody but I bought Animal Crossing and as one of my designs I
drew Mario face. Well I just wanted to reminisce with yall' and it
is good to know I am not the only Mario fan out there.
P.S. The new Nintendo DS and Revolution is going to roll over the
competition this time around. Nintendo will be on top again where it
belongs!
Alan Rivesman
Sean Kelly: Super Mario 64 is a fun game, you should play it. I saw that "Know Your Roots" shirt (and other similar shirts) at a Kiosk in the Eaton Centre (a mall in downtown Toronto), as well as by clicking on one of the links in a SMBhq banner ad. Since I didn't see any Nintendo seal of quality, I would say that they are unlicenced rip-offs that should be avoided.
Kyle Orland: Super Mario 64 DS is just like the Nintendo 64 one, but with extra
characters, mini-games and stars to collect.
P.S.: I hate those stupid know your roots shirts. They are, in
general, worn by posers who have only vague memories of their video
gaming roots. No offense meant towards you.
Jay Resop: Yeah, we're all Mario freaks here. Or Luigi freaks for that matter. Hey's it's another person who never bought SM64. Nice.-jay
PenguinMan: Hey, how did you steal my shirt? AND my phone?
EAM: Yes, Super Mario 64 DS is a remake of Super Mario 64, with added stars,
stages, and key-hoarding rabbits. I'm not as optimistic about Nintendo's
future as you, but I sure hope you're right.
Luigi128: Wow! I have the same friggin' shirt! Yes, that is the game that will be on the DS. Great to hear from our fellow freaks out there.
Actually,Peach & Bowser are in love. The 1st time Bowser kiddnapped Peach was the only time he really kidnnapped her.The other times both of them planned out not only so they would have time together but also to destroy Mario. To see where I got this logical explenation at www.gamecheetz.com.
- Teachy857
Sean Kelly: Grow up.
Kyle Orland: That makes perfect sense. It really does. And that's... scary.
Jay Resop: If you're going to spam your site, then I'm going to spam mine. HTTP://WWW.SMBHQ.COM/NC/.-jay
PenguinMan: Yeah, sites that purposefully mispell normal words
are VERY legit. And Peach is not Bowser's type, trust me.
EAM: That explains all the cries for help and evil laughs.
Luigi128: 'm sure there are several cult followings with their own beliefs. However, if you read the comics series, Bowser is "infatuated" (not in love) with Princess Peach. Trust me, Peach is not in love with Bowser. No. In fact, that's just gross. You should read the Super Mario Adventure comics series if you can ever get a hold of it. I have a copy that a got several years ago, but there's no way I'm letting go of it.
I am about to be married and my wife to be has a handicapped boy that
thinks Mario is the living end. I have been trying to find a poster
that I can get for him and I want to get some things to put into his
bedroom of Mario, i.e. bed spreads, linens, pictures, and so on.
Could be of some help?
Thank you,
Jim
Sean Kelly: I had a Mario poster once, but it is gone now. Dare I say it again? Try eBay .
Kyle Orland: Well, besides the mario wallpaper and ceiling fan that we've featured
in the products section, you can find Marioposters in old
editions of Nintendo Power. Contact Nintendo to find out which
specific issues and for information on ordering back issues.
Jay Resop: First off, congratulations. Second off, eBay .-jay
PenguinMan: Well, they don't make too many Mario stuff these
days other than shirts and wristbands. Best bet would
be eBay .
EAM: The best place to find Mario products is Ebay - try search/browsing
here.
Luigi128: Wow, that's really cool. Speaking of which, my father just got remarried. But anyways, as with all Mario merchandise other than games, it hasn't really been around for about 10 years or so, so the best place to look is eBay or something.
Hey,
Just wanted to let you know theres a great way to beat this game
in under 20 minutes. You go to the third Grassland lvl, press down when
on top of a white box,and you go behind the bg. Keep walking and you
land in a room with a magic whistle. Then,go to the castle and when you
get to the dry bones fly up to the top of the level with a racoon suit
and walk right until you cant go anymore.Press up to find another
magic whistle. From the world map,use a magic whistle to go to the
warp zone. Use a SECOND magic whistle to land on the warp zone
again, except this time, youre next to the world 8 pipe.Use this to
continue on and beat the game quickly.
Kaiser
Sean Kelly: Thank you very much. I ABSOLUTELY did not know that before. **COUGH**SARCASM**COUGH**
Kyle Orland: Oh my god! You are the first person to EVER find this trick or to
inform us of it! I've been playing Super Mario Bros. 3 for almost 15
years and I NEVER knw about this. Thank you SO MUCH!
Jay Resop: I've always wanted to beat This Game in under 20 minutes.-jay
PenguinMan: Wow, welcome to FIFTEEN YEARS AGO!!!
EAM: What!? Three magic whistles in SMB3? Who knew?
Luigi128: Dude, you could of, like, specified the game. But I'm pretty sure you're referring to Super Mario Bros. 3. Thanks for the info.
How do I pass level -1
Thanks Cam
Sean Kelly: Don't believe what a cetain popular April Fool's joke said. You can't.
Kyle Orland: You don't
Jay Resop: You have to play backwards. So you have your back facing the TV. It's real hard. But worth it.-jay
PenguinMan: You have to stomp 20 red Cheep Cheeps. You can't
shoot them with fireballs; you have to stomp them.
EAM: Level minus one? Did you mean [some world number you didn't type]-1? It
would also help if you told us the name of the game.
Luigi128: Specificity is quite a useful aspect of explanation.
Is there a super mario for X Box. If no...why not?
JOEODNINSTACY
Sean Kelly: You are probably one of those people that don't know that Mario was stomping Goombas when all Mircosoft had was text-based operating systems.
Kyle Orland: There is not, because Nintendo does not make games for competing systems.
Jay Resop: Yeah, it's called Super Mario Bootleg.-jay
PenguinMan: Because Mario hates the Xbox. He's worried about
competition from things that might be heavier than
him. He also doesn't like sumo wrestlers, elephants,
and Louie Anderson.
EAM: No, and hopefully there never will be. Nintendo and Microsoft are
rivals, so it does not make sense for Nintendo to release it's game on
Microsoft's system. The only way this would happen is if Nintendo went
third party or *gasps* out of business and sold the rights to Mario.
Luigi128: No. X-Box is made by Microsoft (evil, use Linux). Mario is a registered trademark of Nintendo, All Rights Reserved and stuff.
