Hey! My turn to do the mailbag this time. Let's see what random crazyness is in this batch...

Hello, I've got 3 things to ask you: 1) How come nothing on the E3 which is about to end? 2) I asume that the Super Mario Sunshine Show is over, since that was the last level? 3) Why no links under: Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Mario Party 4 in the Games List? - David |
||
|
Well David, 1. If I'm not mistaken, I think that there was an article somewhere reviewing the Mario games
that were shown at E3, but that may be from last year. If there isn't one from this year, then Jay's just being lazy. :P SK Note: There is E3 news on the news page (even though it was posted about a month after the event) 2. I guess you can assume that. I really don't follow it that closely. 3. Because Jay is lazy. :P

I'm assuming that you mean number one game for kids, Christian. Thank you for bringing up the point though.

Mario,(or whoever is answering the questions)I really want to know when Mario kart:Double Dash comes out! Sincerely, mariomania8 P.S.Please tell me when it's going to come out!!!!!! |

Whoa, you seem really anxious to play it! I can't blame you; I want to play it too. Anyway, Nintendo's website doesn't have a date yet, but I think it's safe to say it will be
out before the end of the year. SK Note: Nintendo recently set the release date to
November 18. Check the ticker on the news page for more release
dates.

||
|
Well, DZH, I didn't see the article on the front page, but I think it's safe to say that Nintendo isn't going to replace Mario or anyone else. And what's so stupid about Pikmin? I thought it was a really good game.

You missed a game in the educational cameo section. Mario's Early Years was produced in 1995 by Mindscape for the pc. There were three games in this series; Fun With Letters, Preschool Fun, and Fun With Numbers. Just thought I would let you know. Thanks, Cole |

Thanks for the info, Cole. I'll see what I can do to get Jay to update. Maybe a cattle prod would work...

Dear Reader, Hi there , I was wondering who is Geno, Boshi and Moshi. Everyone is talking about them and I've never heard of them. So can you please help. Thank you Josh |
||
|
Geno and Mallow were both characters in the Nintendo/Square RPG, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Here's a link to some more info about it here. As for Moshi, I have no idea who he is. The only other variation of a Yoshi name I've heard is Boshi, who was also in SMRPG.

When I follow the links for any of the Mario Toys I'm getting the message "Sorry You have clicked on a link that has expired" I'm here in the UK trying to buy Mario Yoshi Bowser Luigi Toad Wario Donkey Kong products such as beanie babies, stress dolls and talking dolls I'm not having much luck --- you'd think that Nintendo would have links on their various country web sites to the companies who are licensed to manufacture and sell their products Any pointers you can give would be greatly appreciated You have some great pics of Mario Products ... By-the-by --- is there a Nintendo Theme Park anywhere in the world ? George |
||
|
Hmmm... Nintendo toys, huh? Well, the best place to go would be E-bay, but if you're lucky, you might find some toys in a toy shop. But it would help if Nintendo had such a list. And as for a Nintendo Theme Park, I don't think there is one, but that would be very cool. Imagine the rides... Mario's Pipe Maze, Luigi's Haunted Mansion, Yoshi's Jungle Coaster...

Hey, i was reading your page and noticed this: "Hotel Mario: I know extremely little about this game, but I probably know more than most. This EXTREMELY obscure title for the ill-fated Panasonic CD-I is unexplainable. How Panasonic got Mario on their system, in a game like this too, is very strange. I have never played this, but I have seen video of it. For those who've played Bugs Bunny's secret castle (both of you =) it's looks like that. Mario is on one screen while guys are chasing him. To avoid them he goes in doors which take him to different floors of the screen. I think you have to collect stuff to get out of that screen. That's all I know. If you are one of the dozen people who's played this rarity, mail me please!" I have never played the game, but I know exactly how panasonic got mario in their game. A cd system like Sega cd was planned for the snes, but was never built. During this time, Nintendo had a hard time deciding what company should create the cd components. Nintendo kept switching between Sony and Panasonic, making and breaking agreements with each. ANyways, at one point, nintendo had agreed to let panasonic create their cd components, and in return, panasonic would get the rights to nintendo characters so they could create new games for their cd-i system. Before the cd drive from panasonic was even built, hotel mario came out under the agreement for the cd-i. Sadly, Before any more work on the cd drive could be done, Nintendo signed up with sony and had them create the cd system instead. Later on the rivalry between panasonic and sony made nintendo give up the cd system all together. Sony decided then to use what they had worked on for nintendos system and keep working on it by themselves, eventually giving rise to playstation. Adwanoch |

Yeah, that's how it happened. I remember reading about it in a book named "Game Over: Press Start to Continue". It covers Nintendo's entire history, and is a very interesting read. Anyway, thanks for the info. |

Excuse me, but I have a reason why Luigi wasn't in Super Mario RPG. He was with Mario when he first went to Bowser's Keep to save the princess... but he fell off the bridge, landed on his head, and got amnesia! After he got out from the hospital, he wandered around. he got a job at Grate Guy's Casino, then at the Marrymore Hotel. he got lost in a huge forest and was captured by a purple alligator with a red hat who held him for ransom. Finally, a rock landed on Luigi's head, and he remembered who he was! He beat up the alligator and ran home, where Mario was waiting. I guess he missed the whole adventure! For Super Mario 64? The Koopa Kids kidnapped him and held him at Dark Land, where he busted himself free the moment Mario touched the Star Bowser gave up in the final battle! Isn't that interesting??? - Bob Jindra |

I am a BIG FAN of MARIO. And I was wondering will there ever be another cartoon show of Mario. - FREEAFRICANS |

Well, as far I know, there are no plans to make another Mario cartoon. Not even to show the reruns again. It would be very cool if they made another one though.
