“It is February, and I'm doing the mailbag on time this time! Also, allow me to introduce my new co-host, Mike P.”
Read Top>Bottom, Left>Right.
Our first letter is from... well... uhhh... is there one?

| Dave: Number one, it may be on there, the server crashed while it was being upgraded, so I can't tell you right now. Number two, your e-mail had so much HTML in it, I left it in to show you what it looks like to me. Thank you. |
Steve: I wasn't aware there WAS a message for several seconds. |
| Mike: So that's what happened to the SMBHQ... and there was a reference to those on it before the crash. (Note: Mike is not as closely affiliated to SMBHQ as Steve and I are) |
Mewtwo: I believe your exact words were, "Where's Waldo?" |
MeMario6 tries to pull a fast one on someone:
| i remember an enemy from the old SMB super show, an enemy boss named Mouser or mowser. he was a shady kinda rat thing. did he really exist and if so can you find info. |
| Dave: Yes, he was the same Mouser as in SMB2. Had the same disposition, too. SMBSS was a combined SMB1-2 cartoon. |
Steve: Mabye I should get Lenoard Nimoy and... |
| Mike: Mouser... that stupid bomb throwing mouse... many a day I would battle him as Toad, only to be blown up. Stupid mouse with sunglasses... I'll show him one day! |
Mewtwo: No, Steve. Leonard Nimoy: And that wraps it up for “In Search Of...” for this week. Mewtwo: Where'd you come from? |
To Victor, thank you very little, Sincerely, Dave:

Mario has a nice dragon uppercut-type punch, as well as the stanadard fireball and a move which sends him spinning in a wild frenzy, fists outstretched. <LI>Luigi: The neglected brother who does just as much work as his plumber sibling for half the credit. Has all of Mario moves, but he's a bit faster and he jumps higher. His fireball floats instead of bouncing as well. </LI></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That kind of makes it sound like Mario is just flat out worse than Luigi. Everyone of Marios Attacks is stronger than Luigis expect for the uppercut. For instance marios Headbutt does considerable more damage than Luigis. Marios uppercut hits you wiht a few coins doing little damage. While Luigis uppercut if hit close up will do a "fire" type thing and does massive damage. Despite how close Mario gets to the eneny his uppercut will not do the "fire" thing. As you mentioned Luigi is faster and jumps higher but Marios fireball is a bouncy and moves around while in play while Luigis is straight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> |
| Dave: I DID NOT SAY THAT, NOR DID ANY OF MY COHORTS! You are the first one to confuse me for the Smash Bros. guy. I get blamed for everything... -_-' (sigh) |
Steve: Actually, I like Luigi's knock out power. Mewtwo: But it's nothing compared to... Steve: No, Mewtwo. |
| Mike: Don't blame anyone here for Luigi's better... uh... betterment in "Super Smash Bros". Blame HAL Labs. They made the game... |
And now, for an HTML-free letter from AndyFish2000:
| Hi! I got all 120 stars. But I still can't get into the Dark Wold, the place where Princess Toadstool was. How do I get in there? |
| Dave: I think you're referring to the glitch area in SM64. The area where you're talking about is covered very in the glitches section in TMK, specifically at http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/sm64_bugs.shtml (If you click on the link, it will open a new window!) |
Steve: You know, you can get on the roof without the cannon. |
| Mike: I've never been to the secret room because I have a nasty little habit of restarting my game when I get a certain number of things... but it does exist. I assure you that it does... |
Mewtwo: And you taped it, too! Sheesh! |
tommy is in a pickle without me willing to help too much:
| <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD

| Dave: Tommy, go to the front page of SMBHQ and look under the guides section (new window link: http://www.smbhq.com/users/guides/a-zindex.htm), file under Super Mario 64. |
Steve: Again... |
| Mike: What three poles thing is he talking about? Does he mean the volcano in Lethal Lava Land? Those are hard to get to... |
Mewtwo: And again... |
elainestanley... interesting name. Got a last name?

| Dave: I say it time and time again, PLEASE! NO HTML in messages! It looks so ugly! Unfortunately, there is no "easy way" to Soda Lake other than the method you described. What you might be doing is keeping on to Yoshi and the cape. What you need is both, but as soon as you're past the first gate, let go of Yoshi. Great, now what I need is PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to come after me accusing me of telling people to kill Yoshi just like they said Duke Nukem encourages people to give animals the business end of a sniper rifle. |
Steve: I doubt it. Mewtwo: They're too busy with Pokémon. |
| Mike: So there really is a Soda Lake... and here I thought that I was just imagining it. |
tommy strikes again!

| Dave: In the immortal words of Rod Roddy on the last episode of the game show Hit Man: "If you want to be a contestant on Hit Man, forget it! And now, back to Peter [Tomarken]." You see, I only did this since I needed a co-host. Right now, since I can't update the site right now, I can't say I have one, even though I do have one now. |
Steve: What am I, then? |
| Mike: If he's talking about SMBHQ email, I think there's a button on the front page to join... (ed. another new window link! Free @smbhq.com e-mail!) |
Mewtwo: A walking overreaction. |
Kirsty goes gonzo on the message and HTML:
| <DIV>Dear Answer Man,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First of all I would like to appologize for any inconvenience, by the sound of your rules, you don't like to be bothered much. I'm not all that terrific using the internet and I'm not sure whether what I'm looking for was hiding somewhere on you website, so I'll appologize once more in advance for that .... "sorry".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've been playing Super Mario Bros. 3 on the super nintendo from 1993 or 1994 - any way, I've<EM> finally </EM>gotten up to world 7 (which for me is like - WOW). I'm up to the first castle, and this may sound really dumb, but I can't get out of it....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It just goes 'round' and 'round'. It has one switch that turns many, many blocks into money, although I still can't find an exit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please, can you help a desperado like myself?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanking you kindly,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kirsty</DIV> |
| Dave: Kirsty, really, if I didn't want to be bothered much, why would I have taken the position in the first place? I'm here for Mario inquiries. Your answer can be found at http://www.smbhq.com/users/guides/sm3index.htm |
Steve: Are you sure about that? |
| Mike: Uhn... HTML... so much... er... That castle is a bad one. If you screw it up once, you have to do it all over again... |
Mewtwo: Yeah, are you? Dave: Uhm... actually... NEXT! |
PM tries a fast one:
| I like your site, it's cool. I am looking for a bunch of big, clear pictures of the shy guys from Mario, I thought you'd have some, do you, or could you have some .jpg s? Thanks for your time |
| Dave: Why not try drawing some? |
Steve: I draw Mewtwo every so often. Mewtwo: How'd you like me to draw you? Steve: Sheesh! Touchy! Mewtwo: It's just all the time... Dave: Let's keep it away from each other's throats this time, got it? |
| Mike: Why not the Shy Guys from Doki Doki Panic, huh? What do you have against them? And may I suggest the Jay Resop portion of the site? I think I saw Shy Guys there... |
| TOPIC FOR MARCH: “With the advent of Sonic the Hedgehog being confirmed on AGB, what other Sega games do you want to see on AGB or NGC and why?” |
The Mario Mailbag... Bigger, better, faster, stronger!... well, at least one is true.
