Story:
Your character (choose one: Princess, Mario, or Yoshi) is walking along peacefully without a care in the world. Suddenly, Wario come along in a plane and drops a large bucket on their head, blocking their site. They must now get to Luigi so he can take the bucket off. This story is rather amusingly told through animated cut scenes before each world.
Mario's Role:
Mario is one of the selectable characters, for the medium speed setting.
The oddities:
Many, many, many things are out of the ordinary in this game. The first oddity is the little fairy that you control. This is basically your character, who is your means to guide Mario, Princess, or Yoshi to Luigi. Where did this guy come from? What's he doing here? How does he fit into the Mario universe? The second oddity is that this game was never released in the USA. This is odd because 1)I think it would have done get a here in the states, and 2)The game was featured in Nintendo Power's Pak Watch section for a very long while, which means it's arrival here was already expected on some level. A very odd game.
Enemies:
There are various enemies like pidgets and bats that try to get in your characters way (and which the fairie has to dispose of). There are also spikes which can kill you if you fall on them
Ending:
I'm not sure of what happens at the ending, but I'd assume it has to do with Luigi placing a HUGE bucket on Wario's head. Or that's what the ending would be if I wrote it!
