Bowser looked out one of the many windows of his gothic palace. He listened to the crack of the thunder and looked at the over all dreariness of the world outside his castle. He knew that most, if not all of Mushania would be experiencing this weather. He smelled it in the air. It was time to give his revenge blow on the Mushroom Kingdom. But how? Too many times he had been defeated; he didn't want that to happen again.
"King Bowser, sir?"
Bowser made a quick turn to the entrance of his chamber. Standing there was a small turtle-like creature with strange black goggles, a blue robe and hat, a wand used as a cane, and a long white mustache.
"What do you have to report, Kamek?" Bowser asked wearily. He hoped this wasn't Kamek wanting to give him some complaints about using untested technology during the most recent Mario Kart Races.
"Sire, your cousin Wart and his friends Wario and Tatanga are trying to attack the castle."
"WHAT!!!" Bowser yelled while blowing fire out of his nostrils. He wasn't really mad at Kamek, but it was fun to see the magikoopa go into abject horror.
"Well--um, that is..."
An idea popped into Bowser's head. "Give them a warm welcome inside. I have a good offer for them." He said with a smile.
As Kamek left the room Bowser looked back out the window. "Your blood shall be mine, Mario Brothers! Mwa ha ha ha ha!"
Princess Peach Toadstool sat quietly at the desk in her room, looking out her window. 'God I hate rain! It messes up my plans for fun so much. Oh well, at least Mario and Luigi will be here soon.'
There was a knock at the door. "Letter for you, Princess."
Peach got the letter from the mushroom mail carrier, gave him a 10 gold coin tip, and went back to the desk to read the letter. The address said 'Sarasaland' on it and her interest was perked up. She opened, unfolded, and read the letter.
Dear Cousin Peach,
Hello! This is Daisy. How have you been? Good news, I will be coming to
visit your kingdom on May 5. Expect me there by 1:00 p.m. We can catch up on what has happened recently.
"March 5, that's today!" Peach exclaimed. She ran out of her room, went downstairs, and called all of her paid servants to the main room. She told them of the situation and right away they went to work, getting the castle ready for the visitor. Just when Peach thought everything was going to be all right, a knock emitted from the front door. Everyone started to panic, causing the room to become a haven for chaos. However, when the door opened, a sigh of relief came from everyone. It was only Toad.
"What's all the commotion about in here?" Toad quipped. "It sounds like a heard of wild elephants just ran through here!"
"Oh, high Toad." Peach said, with a hint of relief in her voice. "We were just expecting someone else and you surprised us."
"Who were you expecting, besides the Mario Brothers?" Toad inquired.
Peach smacked herself on the forehead. "I can't believe it! I totally forgot the Marios were coming today. Great, now that's three different guests we have to get ready for."
"Who's the third one?"
Peach told Toad about the letter she received and Toad looked at his watch. "Well, she's late, wherever she is. It's already 2:30!"
"Where could she be?"
As if on cue, the door swung open, with Mario and Luigi standing with Daisy holding on to their shoulders.
"What happened to her?" Toad inquired.
"She met up with the wrong crowd." Mario said as he began to tell about what happened.
