Mario Beanie Babies - The newest Mario collectables are here, and they are hot. Beanie babies are probably the hottest toy of the decade (well, maybe second to the N64!). Now you can get Mario versions of them. So far, Mario, Luigi, Toad, Bowser, Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong, and Diddy Kong are available. Originally offered only through Nintendo Power, the first 4 (Mario, Yoshi, Bowser, and DK) are offered in many toy and video game stores (with the second 4 to be in stores soon). Nintendo is also set to release a 3rd set of 4 Nintendo characters (probably more Mario ones) for NP's spring catalog. Cost is around $5 each, or less if you buy a package through NP. (see Nintendo's web site to order). Their resale value is also $5, with virtually no time to appreciate... yet. Hold onto 'em though. These things are HOT!
